Abstract: 

An important problem for the WiMAX networks is how to provide a guaranteed quality of service for applications. A key aspect of this problem is how BSs should share bandwidth capacity between different classes of traffic. This decision needs to be made for each incoming packet, and is known as the packet scheduling problem.A major challenge in packet scheduling is that the behavior of each traffic class may not be known in advance, and can vary dynamically.In this paper, we describe how we have modeled the packet scheduling problem as an application for reinforcement learning (RL). We demonstrate how our RL approach can learn scheduling policies that satisfy the quality of service requirements of multiple traffic classes under a variety of conditions. The proposed solution has been designed to have an ability to accommodate integrated traffic in the networks with effective scheduling schemes. A series of simulation experiments have been carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed scheduling algorithm. The results reveal that the proposed solution performs effectively to the integrated traffic composed of messages with or without time constraints and achieves proportional fairness among different types of traffic.

Abstract: 

Widespread employment of broadband networks, have been widely excited researchers and producers to develop and optimize this type of networks. This process is not possible, without study and deep preciseness in designing and type of the implementation of system. Recently introducing Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) in communication world is invigorating researchers to devote their attempts in way of optimizing this favorite broadband networks. So in this paper, the possibility of transmission and regeneration of information and video pictures with acceptable signal to noise ratio (SNR) and bit error rate (BER) is provided by simulating physical layer of WiMAX system according to the IEEE 802.16-2004 standard. This simulation is done with MATLAB software and designed for approaching to appropriate quality and throughput in WiMAX networks. Simulation results shows that how video file in 'avi' format have been regenerated with an admissible quality after transmission in virtual designed space based on standard tested with 2-PAM and 64-QAM modulation techniques, simulation also shows how we can use peak signalto-noise ratio (PSNR) of pictures in adaptive modulation and coding (AMC).

Abstract: 

In this paper, a wideband Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) is presented that operates in 2.38GHz to 3.9GHz, representing 48.6% tuning range. This circuit has been aimed to the wireless and WiMAX networks. The proposed circuit has low KVCO (frequency variation per 1V) and hence, reduced spur, when used in a Phase Locked Loop (PLL). This work also proposes a new method for optimization of capacitors values and transistors size in the capacitor bank. Phase noise of the proposed circuit is -120.8 dBc/Hz at 3.9GHz center frequency, at 1MHz offset. The supply voltage is 1V and the power consumption is 4.1mW. The proposed circuit has been laid out using TSMC 0.18 um RF CMOS foundry design kit in CADENCE. The post-layout simulation results prove excellent performance of the proposed circuit.

Abstract: 

This paper concerns locational finding in broadband wireless networks in corporating OFDMA technique at the plysical layer. In this regard, a novel estimation method is proposed to find the position of active users. This method makes use of the power spectral density of the received signal from a specific user to compare its likelihood to that of some reference points. Despite the conventional method which performs well in a single path environment, the proposed method not only robusts in a muli-path environment, but also it inherently incorporates path delay spreads to find the location of exiting users. Simulation results indicate that the mean estimation error in the wimax network operation is around 11 meters at 3.5 Ghz with 5 Mhz bandwidth and when reference points are 26.4 meters apart relying on SUI model.

Abstract: 

Selecting the suitable advertising media is one of the most important decisions in advertisement planning and it is a complex problem. In this field, the aim of this study is to propose a hybrid approach of analytic network process (ANP) and decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) to solve this problem and eliminate the criticism of analytic hierarchy process to get close to reality. In proposal process performed in a Wi-Max sale agency; firstly, the most important attributes in selecting the advertising media were identified based on basic studies and opinion of experts. Then, they were compared pair-wisely in a network structure frame, and DEMATEL is used in order to evaluating relationship among them. Finally, the weights of attributes were computed based on ANP super matrix, and advertising media were ranked in order catalog and brochure, billboard, magazine and newspaper, TV and radio, SMS and email, and website.
