Flexibility, speed of change and innovation are the characteristics of successful companies in their effective time. In order to survive, even for a decade, companies must constantly change, but change solely, is not enough. Changes should be based on collection of appropriate data from the outer and inner environment and their conversion to knowledge. Among the essential skills and competencies of managers in knowledge based companies, one fote most important one is personal knowledge management skills. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to investigate effect of personal knowledge management on innovative culture and performance in knowledge based companies in Kurdistan province in 2017. From methodological perspective, this study is a survey-applied based on descriptive-survey. Required data collected through combining and integrating several standard questionnaires with use of form reforms. Content validity of factors confirmed with the opinion of the experts and then the validity of the test construct was confirmed using factor analysis methods. In order to analyze the collected data, Partial Least Square method (Smart PLS) used. Results confirmed the appropriateness of all research hypotheses and also showed a positive and significant relationship between personal knowledge management and innovative culture and innovative performance in the research model. At the end, there are also suggestions in relation to the research variables.

Yazd faces many natural obstacles in its development prospects and the experience of accelerated but unstable development of recent decades indicates that its sustainable development is threatened by methods known as industrial development. The city's long history suggests climate adaptation and the innovations of its inhabitants in a balanced development, which are commensurate with climate constraints. Architecture, urban planning, the water system of the aqueduct and the peaceful coexistence of cultures, as the most prominent manifestations of this city, which have led UNESCO to register Yazd for its historic context as well as the diverse subcultures that have preserved this ecosystem for many thousands of years can be used as a culture-based development tool to optimally utilize its cultural assets in the path of sustainable development. This article studies this lasting historical legacy and presents the prospect of culture-based development in Yazd.

Purpose: The Purpose of this study is to construct a model that identifies the components of the knowledge-based economy in order to promote its development through insights from experts.Methodology: This qualitative research employs a thematic analysis approach with a focus on professors, experts, and individuals knowledgeable about the subject. A total of 52 participants were selected using purposeful sampling and data was collected through semi-structured interviews.Findings: Initially, 1,535 codes were extracted, leading to 353 codes in the subsequent stage, and further refined to 42 secondary codes during the central coding phase. Ultimately, nine main codes were derived in the selective coding stage.Conclusion: Emphasizing the importance of a knowledge-based economy can enhance productivity, foster economic prosperity, and facilitate the creation and growth of knowledge-based enterprises. Such emphasis can also boost competitiveness, innovation, and success in global markets, ultimately leading to improved standards of living and sustainable development.Value: This research offers insight into the role of a knowledge-based economy in driving knowledge-based development within the country.

The study aimed at presenting an appropriate framework for designing & implementing knowledge management projects within research & knowledge-based organizations while focusing on the knowledge culture. First, the available literature was reviewed & the influential indices & factors regarding the knowledge culture were extracted. Then, a conceptual model for evaluating the knowledge culture was designed. Finally, in order to measure the validity of the test instrument, expert judgment & interview were employed. To measure the validity of the data-gathering instrument, a questionnaire was distributed to the researchers & employees at the central library of the University of Tehran. It was examined through content validity & factorial analysis. To assess the reliability of the instrument, internal consistency & Cronbach alpha were considered. The results of the evaluation revealed a significance relationship between & among all the factors under the study. This confirmed high internal consistency of several dimensions of the questionnaire. Obtaining a Cronbach alpha coefficient of more than 0. 7 also pointed to the reliability of the instrument.

Background and Aim: The transition from a natural resource-dependent industry to a knowledge-based industry is one of the most fundamental development challenges in provinces with resource-reliant economic structures, such as Khuzestan. Accordingly, this study aims to identify the development challenges faced by knowledge-based companies and technology units in Khuzestan Province.Data and Method:The study was conducted using a qualitative methodology with a grounded theory approach. Participants were elites from Khuzestan Province, including university professors and managers of knowledge-based companies and technology units. A total of 44 individuals were selected through theoretical sampling. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews and analyzed using theoretical coding.Findings: The extracted causal conditions include the absence of owner-operated workshop spaces; Khuzestan Science and Technology Park; the mismatch between the quantitative growth of companies and the physical development of the Science and Technology Park; increased production costs due to limited workshop space; the park’s inability to provide basic facilities for technologists; allocation of industrial and mining halls to intermediaries; non-implementation of national legislation in Khuzestan; and, ultimately, the deprioritization of research and development in knowledge-based companies.Conclusion: The results indicate that the transition from a natural resource-based industry to a knowledge-based industry has been slow, not due to deficiencies in the companies’ technical knowledge, but because of structural, institutional, and executive barriers.Key Message: What drives knowledge-based companies out of the production arena is not a lack of technical knowledge, but the absence of appropriate infrastructures and supportive conditions for their growth within society.

The generation gap is a problem that has mainly befallen the contemporary societies.This gap in some societies is small but is wide in the transitional societies. The generation gap is not merely related to the youth and the aged which has always drawn the attentions. Indeed, there are delicate social and cultural differences between different generations of adolescents and youth, which are normally overlooked. The present paper is an attempt to study the issue of generations and their relations with the cultural and communication changes across the world. Also attempts have been made to study the characteristics of the generations of X, Y and Z to offer a categorization of the young generations in Iran and also to enumerate their similarities and differences. Without aiming to make cultural policies, the present paper attempts to offer some useful hints to the cultural policymakers.
