Abstract:

Purpose: Competitive sports are a stress factor to change the immune system. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of a futsal match on the responses of mucosal immunity in female futsal players. Methods: Nine futsal players from one teams of the premier league female futsal in Iran with a mean age of 25 ± 2 years, BMI 21.03 ± 1.30 kg.m-2, VO2max 47.32 ± 1.62 ml.kg-1.min-1 participated in this study. Unstimulated saliva samples were collected before, after, 24 h and 48 h post- matchfor salivary IgA concentration (s-IgA), IgA secretion rate (SIgA), S-IgA/Protein ratio, cortisone and alpha amylase measurement. In order to analyze the data, analysis of variance (ANOVA) with repeated measures with Bonferroni as appropriate at (P<0.05) was used. Results: Subsequent the match, saliva flow rate, s-IgA, SIgA and s-IgA / Pro ratio decreased (P<0.05) and come back to rest level after 24 hours recovery. Cortisol, alpha amylase and total protein increased significantly post match (P<0.05).Conclusion: An official futsal match may have adverse effects on female mucosal immunity due to SIgA diminish and therefore susceptible to upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), although further investigations are needed.

Abstract:

The current research assessed the effect of psychological skills on female futsal players’ sport performances. Out of eight futsal Super League teams in Tehran in 1391, two groups were selected randomly: control and experimental. The pretest was conducted through observation (filming) and the analysis was based on the athletic performance checklist of Thelwell et al (2006). Then, psychological skills program was administered in the experimental group in 30 sessions which consisted of goal-setting, relaxation, mental imagery, attention control, and self-talk. The posttest was taken after 4 months of intervention and two months later, the follow-up test. The data was analyzed using one way ANCOVA test. The results indicated that practicing psychological skills led to the improvement of performance qualitative level significantly, especially in pass, shoot, catch, keep and control. The effect of psychological interventions was significant not only in protest but also in the follow-up.

Abstract:

Introduction:  FIFA 11+ exercises are a warm-up program to prevent sports injuries and can lead to improved sports performance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of 11+ exercises on the physical fitness of university women. Methodology: In this Semi-experimental study, 15 female volleyball players of Islamic Azad University, Marvdasht Branch were selected as the statistical sample and based on lower limb strength, and divided into two groups of + 11 training (n=7) and  control (n=8). The 11+ training group performed FIFA + 11 training sessions for eight weeks, three sessions per week and 20 minutes each session. The control group had only their usual warm-up program during this time. Before the training and 24 hours after the last training session, Lower limb strength was measured using a tensiometer, Sargent horizontal jump, static balance and dynamic balance by mini-trampoline. Climograph-smirnoff, independent and dependent t-tests were used to analyze the findings (p≤0.05). Results: Lower limb strength of the training group (p= 0.001) and the control group (p= 0.001) in the post-test was significantly increased compared to the pre-test, While there was no significant difference in lower limb strength changes between the two groups (p= 0.60). Length jump of the exercise group in the post-test was significantly increased compared to the pre-test (p=0.001). While there was no significant difference in the Length of jump in pre-test and post-test of the control group (p= 0.38) and Long jump changes in the two groups (p= 0.52). There was no significant difference in the dynamic balance (p= 0.63) and static balance (p= 0.63) of the training and control groups (p= 0.40). Discussion: It seems that 11+ trainings are effective for improving lower limb strength and horizontal jump in female college volleyball players similar to traditional warm-up exercises. But it has no effect on improving balance, therefore, it is suggested that balance exercises be included in 11+ training.

Abstract:

Background and aim Fatigue is one of the most important factors affecting the occurrence of sport injuries. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of functional fatigue on the position sense of ankle joint on female futsal players. Materials and method In this semi experimental study, 22 female futsal students of Isfahan University with the mean and standard deviation of age 20 ± 1. 8 years, weight 57 ± 2. 40 kg, and height 161. 5 ± 5. 73 cm were selected as the study samples using convenient sampling technique. Functional futsal fatigue was maked with Bangsbo modified futsal fatigue protocol. position sense of ankle joint was measured with Isokinetic Biodex set in 15degree inversion and eversion and fatigue with borg scale before and immediately after of doing protocol. Data was analyzed with dependent T test and significance level of (p= 0/05). Results The results showed after fatigue, error rate of the players has significantly increased in the reconstruction of the angle. Based on the information obtained from the Borg scale, the fatigue of players in the post test (17. 81± 2. 2) was significantly more than pretest (7± 0. 81). (P=0. 000& Es=1. 54). Conclusion fatigue makes change in position sense of ankle joint. In present study used from modified futsal fatigue protocol for made fatigue in participant. The result showed after doing fatigue protocol, increased error rate of position sense. Therefore probability of injured increased.

Abstract:

Introduction: An imbalance between free radical production and antioxidant defense system components can lead to oxidative stress. Antioxidants can reduce inflammation. C-reactive protein (CRP) is an inflammatory factor, and the question is whether the Resvin, as an antioxidant, can reduce the level C-reactive protein in elite women volleyball players.Materials & methods: In this semi-experimental study, with pre-test and post-test design, 20 elite female athletes were randomly assigned to two equal groups of supplement and control. Subjects in the intervention group received 400 mg of Resvin supplements daily for 14 days. Blood samples were taken for determination of CRP level, before and after the intervention. Resvin supplementation is carried out at the special practice stage. CRP was measured using a LATEX kit.Findings: The results show that Resvin supplementation leads to significant reduction in inflammatory factor of C - reactive protein in elite women volleyball players (p<0.05). The variation of CRP (mg/l) shows 0.37 mg/l decrease and 0.09 increase in supplemented and placebo groups, respectively.Discussion & Conclusions: Based on the current finding, it can be suggested that Resvin consumption might be reduced the production of CRP inflammatory factor after high intensity exercise and may help improve recovery.
