Abstract: 

According to the Iran’s vision for export development based on PC-TAS, this research displays the best sectors in clothing and loom industry. The main question is which subsector had the best performance, share market and high industry indexes during 2000- 2006. So, the author uses attributive and library study approaches. It uses revealed comparative advantages, constant market share analysis and market seat based on commercial plan. Conclusions represent that high level performance belongs to the cotton industry by 85% or more wool, leaf by 85% yarn, texture lower than 85%, caoutchouc string loomed, men garment, jacket, men and women sportswear, shawl, chador and scarf. Some other conclusions indicate that some wearing and clothing sub-industries have a good market share in Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, United Emirates Arab and Middle East.

Abstract: 

The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of innovation on market share in textile, leather and apparel industries (4-digit codes) in Iran. According to the literature on the industrial economics, the relationship between innovation and market share is nonlinear (an inverted-U shaped). This relationship is known as the Schumpeter hypothesis. This paper is trying to investigate the Schumpeter's hypothesis using data on the industrial firms of 10+ workers during the period 1995-2007. For this purpose, the method of nonlinear method of the logistic smooth transition threshold (LSTR) applied to estimate the model. The results confirm the existence of a non-linear relationship between the innovation and market share in the textile, leather and apparel industries. Hence, the support and encouragement of innovative activities by government would enhance the market share of these industries. In addition, the nonlinear relationship between market share and innovation in these industries shows that there exists an optimal level of R&D costs which maximize the industries' market share.

Abstract: 

Following the considerable amount of investment in petrochemical industry which has taken place in recent years by the government, the export of these products have been added to the list of exports of the country, and is following an increasing trend. The profits which accrue to the producers of these items are high and considerable because of favorable factor endowment, availability of imported technology and the interest shown by foreign investors in investing in the sector. In the light of these new developments and in order to expand more the export proceeds of these products, adopting an export promotion strategy which could provide exporters and government authorites with guidelines and facilities is of outmost importance. In this paper attempts have been made to evaluate the target markets for selected petrochemical products of Iran and answer to the following questions: " In which petrochemical products Iran enjoy comparative advantage? " Which countries in the world are Irans trade partners in the field of trade in petrochemicals? And what is the situation with regards to trend stability of Irans petrochemical exports to its trade partners? " What are the opportunities and threats facing the export of petrochemicals of Iran? The results obtained from the ranking of the target markets and its comparison with what has been the case in present and the past show that there is a considerable difference between the potential and actual markets; In other words, the findings of the paper shows that most target markets are potentials and not actual markets. There are many reasons for such a difference. Among these reasons one could refer to the fact that up to now the export of petrochemicals of the country has not been affected through prudent and well defined marketing strategy and has been primarily influenced by political and diplomatic relation with the importing countries, while in most of the Middle Eastern countries the production and export of these products is carried out by transnational corporations. This process has brought to these countries the advantages and benefits which emanate from monopolistic and olygopolistic markets. Furthermore, due to high and sophisticated technology which is at the disposal of these companies, the quality of the products produced is in conformity with world standards. Therefore, to increase and obtain shares, in the markets which have been determined as Irans petrochemicals target markets would be contingent upon the following terms and conditions: Firstly, The products must be of high quality; this necessitate that the products be produced with a high and up to date technology. Secondly, the exports must be done within the framework of a long-run industrial strategy and hence, according to a marketing and export promotion strategy.

Abstract: 

Considering the importance of environmental protection, paying attention to demand fluctuations during the supply chain and predicting factors affecting it, and reducing these fluctuations can maximize the efficiency of the green supply chain. The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors influencing the establishment of the green supply chain in the textile and garment industry of Yazd province. The statistical population of this research is made up of experts, managers and employees of the textile and garment industry of Yazd province. In this research, the factors affecting the establishment and implementation of the green supply chain approach in the textile and garment industry of Yazd province have been identified. In the following, using the interpretive structural modeling technique, the factors identified in the previous section were structured in the form of three conceptual models. Next, in order to fit the formed conceptual models, structural equation modeling technique was used using SmartPLS3 software. The findings of the study reveal three conceptual models pertaining to economic, societal, and environmental aspects, each at three, two, and two overarching tiers, correspondingly. Additionally, the research has identified a set of initial key variables in the realm of cultivating a green supply chain approach. These variables encompass the financing of novel environmentally friendly products, the optimization of cost-effective green product designs, the degree of responsiveness to stakeholders, the embracement of environmental policies, the social image of the brand, and the level of accumulated experience and expertise.

Abstract: 

In this paper, the effect of trade openness on the level of employment and the rate of wages has been evaluated by using a computable general equilibrium model. The results represent that through the cuts of general imports tariff, the percentage changes of total employment level as well as the employment level of unskilled labor will be increased. Likewise, by decreasing the percentage of skilled labor wages to follow more tariff cuts, wages inequality is improved. Also, it is clear that more tariff cuts on food, apparel and textile commodities will decrease the percentage changes of total level employment and unskilled labors. Since, the percentage changes of skilled labor wages will be increased in comparison with unskilled labors by increasing tariff cuts. Thus, it can be concluded that wider trade openness in the food, apparel and textile commodities leads to the increase of wages inequality. However, under the effect of the tariff cuts in agricultural commodities, the percentage changes of total employment as well as the employment of unskilled labors will be increased and by the decline of percentage changes of skilled labor wages, there is a decrease in the inequality of wages between skilled and unskilled labors.

Abstract: 

هدف گزارش آسیب شناسی صنایع نساجی و پوشاک و ارائه راهبردهای بهبود و ارتقای این صنعت در بستر برنامه هفتم توسعه است. به رغم مزیت های صنعت نساجی و پوشاک، سهم ارزش افزوده این صنعت از کل ارزش افزوده صنعتی از 25/5درصد به کمتر از 5 درصد طی سه دهه گذشته کاهش یافته است. بررسی نتایج این گزارش نشان می دهد چالش های صنایع نساجی و پوشاک کشور را می توان در سه سطح طبقه بندی کرد. سطح اول؛ شامل چالش های موجود در محیط داخلی بنگاه از جمله بهره وری پایین، سطح دوم؛ مسائل مربوط به محیط خارجی نزدیک شامل مشکلات مربوط به زنجیره تأمین و ساختار بازار و درنهایت سطح سوم؛ شامل مسائل ناشی از محیط خارجی دور ازجمله مشکلات مربوط به قواعد تجاری و عدم هماهنگی دستگاه های مجری اثرگذار در طول زنجیره ارزش صنعت است.چالش های کلیدی حاکم بر صنایع نساجی و پوشاک، تبعاتی از جمله هزینه تمام شده بالای محصولات تولیدی، کاهش توان ارزآوری، ناپایداری فعالیت واحدهای تولیدی، کاهش توان خلق ارزش افزوده و ضعف رقابت پذیری کیفی محصولات نساجی و پوشاک کشور را به همراه دارد. از این رو به منظور تقویت جایگاه صنعت نساجی و پوشاک در اقتصاد کشور متناسب با چالش ها و اهداف کلان این صنعت در تناظر با رویکردهای اقتصاد مقاومتی، راهبردهایی با تأکید بر ارائه پیشنهادهایی در برنامه هفتم احصا شد. از جمله این موارد می توان به اتخاذ سازوکارهای مناسب برای تکمیل زنجیره تأمین پایدار، ارائه سیاست های حمایتی برای بهبود فناوری ها، توسعه ظرفیت های صادراتی از طریق ساماندهی صادرات شرکت ها و تغییر ساختار بنگاهی صنایع نساجی و پوشاک به سمت ساختار متکی بر مقیاس و رقابت اشاره کرد.

Abstract: 

Sustainability is the key to ensuring that our actions today do not limit the range of economic, social and environmental options for future generations. In fact, sustainable development is committed to preserving the environment and paying attention to the needs of future generations. The textile and clothing industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, so special attention should be paid to its sustainability aspects throughout the textile and clothing supply chain. For this purpose, the assessment and improvement of social, environmental and economic effects at each stage of the entire supply chain should be considered. The textile and clothing industry sector is heavily involved in environmental, social, and economic issues, and sustainable design can lead to long-term use and reduce the wastage of materials and products. One of the most important findings of this research is the improvement of the awareness of designers and clothing manufacturers of sustainable development, which plays an important role in the application of the principles of sustainable development in the country. One of the solutions that can be offered in this regard is the optimal use of clothing in the best possible way. Buying clothes that are of high quality and longevity can be the best solution. Another solution is to recycle and make minor changes to the clothes that we do not want to use anymore. The most important solution to coexist with the environment is for people to turn to the business of sharing clothes.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research is to provide a scale of customer delight in textiles and clothing with a qualitative and quantitative approach. A semi-structured interview and the opinions of 18 experts in the field of carpet marketing were used to collect data. Thematic analysis approach and MAXQDA software were used to analyze qualitative data. The main finding of the current research is the constituent indicators of the customer delight scale in textiles and clothing. Cohen's kappa index was used to validate the coding and quality control process in the qualitative part, the dimensions, and components of the customer delight scale in textile and clothing.The main finding of the current research is the indicators of customer delight scale in textile and clothing with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Based on experts' opinions, customer delight indicators in textiles were classified into 4 dimensions and 9 components. Based on this, the main themes include 4 overarching themes and 9 sub-themes and 44 basic themes. According to the obtained results, the value of the Kappa index was calculated as 0.901, which is at the level of excellent agreement. According to the presented model, recognizing emotions and classifying customers towards emotions can be a suitable model for a correct understanding of customer delight. In order to increase customer delight, managers should create surprise and happiness in textile and clothing customers, and this can be done by strengthening distinct ideas to increase satisfaction and desire for customer delight.

Abstract: 

Empirical literature, related to the impact of trade policies on economic growth, mainly tries to interpret the causal relationship between development and factors promoting trade. The aim of empirical analysis is to investigate the existing criticism on the relation among trade, growth, and technological gaps with regard to the theoretical shortcomings in development theories. Reviewing empirical literature indicates that a proper analysis of economic growth should embrace all of the determinants of development such as: Total Factor Productivity (TFP), capital stock and different types of investments. Assessment of the relation between economic growth and trade, without paying attention to the effects of investment on the trade openness (as on of the most important factors) and growth, is almost impossible. Here, by the word trade, we mean the openness of the goods sector in international trade in a given industry in which its structure and importance in determination of value added in each sector of industry is concerned. The hypothesis can be stated as: There is a positive relation between the growth of value added and growth of the ratio of trade gap among different sectors of industry. The study uses simultaneously cross sectional and time series analysis to investigate the relation between trade and growth in two industries: textile & clothing industry; shoe & hat industry in Iran from 1367- 1369 (1989- 1998).
