The background and purpose: The current research has been conducted with the aim of how to improve the psychological resilience of the soldiers of operational units based on the NEO five-factor personality inventory. Method: This research, which is descriptive and causal, has been carried out using a mixed method. For this purpose, the data of the qualitative part was collected by studying documents and semi-structured interviews with experts and the data of the qualitative part were collected with research-made questionnaire of 60 questions. The expert’s community is a group of officials and professors of educational and universities centers and the statistical community is The Staff of Operational Units of one of the armed forces with at least a diploma. The expert sample was selected the purposeful method of judgment and up to the theoretical saturation stage in the number of 14 people. Also, the statistical sample size was calculated by Cochran’s formula to the number of 172 people and the questionnaire was distributed among them by stratified random method Qualitative section data with analysis method. Thematic and quantitative data were analyzed with by confirmatory factor analysis.
