Some customs of present Iranians, like Norouz ceremony and Haft-sin, Chaharshanbe-suri, the customs of Arafe/Alafe on the last night of the year, Yalda and some other ceremonies, has been retained from the ancient Iran. Zoroastrians of Iran have preserved these ancient customs more than other groups, so the consideration and deliberation of Zoroastrian ceremonies will help us to analyze the Iranian ceremonies as a whole. However, the contemporary Zoroastrian rituals, in some respects, differ from the rituals and customs mentioned in middle Persian texts. Moreover, these rituals are not the same in all Zoroastrian regions of Iran (i.e., Kerman, Yazd and etc). In this paper, the common customs of present Zoroastrians and the important elements of their rituals are studied, so we can survey the development of their customs and make a comparison between them.

The present article deals with superstition and the role the Holy Prophet of Islam played in fighting against it. Being of a wide domain, superstition can be divided into three divisions: doctrinal, legal and social ritual. Since the paper cannot give coverage to all these Issues, it has sufficed to throwing light on superstitions related to the realm of social rituals and practices. Fortune-telling wearing magical objects to prevent envy, good and bad days, sniffing and building fire to make the sky rain are among the most popular superstitious acts performed by people of ignorant societies in the past and to some extent by members of the present societies. The way the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) tackled the issue and the instructions he put forth to eliminate this evils, were very effective in this regard.

Samak-e Ayyar is the ancient Persian folk story that was written in the sixth century by Faramarz Ibn Khodadad Al-Arjani. Of course, according to some evidence, the story goes back to the pre-Islamic history. Considering that no scheduled work is available in the field of customs of early people, this story is a valuable reference to achieve some customs and historical sociology of the deceased that has been remained unclear. This study has dealt with some customs and feasts of kings and some groups of manliness named the chivalrous. This story has been originally based on their chivalries. The study also aims at mentioning customs that have not been mentioned yet or if they have been dealt, their details have not been considered.

The present study seeks to explore the Influence of Islamic culture on native rites and customs of Indonesian Archipelago specially island of Java, using the historical and comparative method. Indonesian Archipelago before the arrival of Islam was totally influenced by Hindu and Buddhist cultures and religions. On arrival of Islam, the natives of this region specially island of Java, accepted Islam without completely abandoning their beliefs and deeds. Accordingly, new rituals and customs were created in this area, which they termed as "Agama Java" (the religion of Java). What is called the " Agama Java", is the combination of elements of Animism, Hindu-Buddhism and Islam and its most important effect can be seen in Kebatinan and rituals related to it, such as Slametan.

The arrival of Islam in Iran marked the beginning of a new era for Iranians and the Islamic world. This period had many ups and downs. The religious influence of Islam was widespread and the influence of Iranian culture and civilization was undeniable. The current research seeks to answer this question: to what extent have Iranian customs and celebrations continued to exist and to what extent has the Islamic world accepted and governed with it? Did all aspects of Iranian life change with the fall of the Sassanids? The main hypothesis of the research is the survival of various aspects of Iranian customs and traditions after Islam, which became comprehensive during the period of the first Abbasid caliphate and expanded in other areas of civilization. Historical evidence shows us that many of these customs remained in force at least in the first three centuries, and even Muslim rulers accompanied them.
