Abstract:

To predict the identity STYLES based on attachment STYLES, the researchers carried out a descriptive study of correlation kind. 130 college students from Bu-Ali Sina University were chosen randomly through multistage cluster sampling. The attachment STYLES were evaluated by Hazan & shaver Adult Attachment Scale (AAS) while the identity STYLES were assessed by berzonsky identity style inventory. The findings of this study showed that there is a significant relationship between attachment STYLES and identity STYLES. The same is true between gender and identity STYLES. No significant relationship was found between gender and attachment STYLES. There was a significant and positive relationship between secure attachment style and informative identity style. In addition, a significant and negative relationship was found between secure attachment style and normative identity. The same is true for secure attachment style and normative identity style, and between secure attachment style and diffusion/ avoidant identity style. It is worth mentioning that secure attachment style has the potentiality to predict informative identity style. These findings highlight the basic and dynamic role of child-mother’s first affective bonds quality in formation, settlement and continuation of fundamental trust, affiliation, exploration, experience training, power of problem solving, and especially identity.

Abstract:

The present study aims to investigate the cognitive STYLES of thinking (legislative, executive, and judiciary) based on the metacognitive components. The participants were 165 first graders of exceptionally talented high school students’ in Tehran who were randomly chosen through cluster sampling method. The thining STYLES Inventory (Sternberg - Wagner, 1997) and the State Metacognitive Inventory (O’neil-Abedi, 1996) questioners were used as means of measurement. The results show that each of the thinking STYLES and metacognitive components are meaningfully above the average amongst these talented students. It can be inferred that metacognitive components are predictive of thinking STYLES in general. The findings of this study show that students of exceptionally talented students schools use legislative and special thinking more than executive STYLES. and using of meta cognitive variables in cognitive strategies and planning have better status in comparison to self- knowing and studying.

Abstract:

This study examines whether the different STYLES of parenting through the creation of different attachment STYLES can be effecttive in marital infidelity proneness. Participants in the study were 268 married students, aged ranging 20 to 46, who were selected by cluster random sampling method based on gender and educational groups. Data were collected by parenting STYLES questionnaire, attachment STYLES questionnaire, and infidelity proneness questionnaire. The data was analyzed using correlation and path analysis. The results show that authoritative parenting style by creating a secure attachment plays no role in infidelity proneness. Authoritarian, permissive, and neglectful parenting STYLES through the creation of insecure attachment have effects in infidelity proneness. This study emphasizes on the fundamental role of parenting STYLES and attachment STYLES in the handling of marital bright future and recommends parents to learn authoritative parenting style and change their authoritative, permissive, and neglectful ones.

Abstract:

Purpose: The present research was conducted with the aim of predicting love STYLES based on perceived parenting STYLES in 2020. Materials and Methods: The statistical population of this research included all married people in Tehran, the number of sample members is 150 people, who were selected by twostage random sampling in the first stage and non-random in the second stage. The main data of this research was obtained by using Hendrick and Hendrick's (1986) love attitude scale questionnaires and Buri's (1991) perceived parenting style. In data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multivariate regression were used using SPSS-23 software. Findings: The results of the research, through correlation and regression tests, indicated that the permissive parenting style does not predict any of the love STYLES. On the other hand, authoritarian parenting style predicts sensual love in a negative way and romantic and friendly love STYLES in a positive and meaningful way, and autocratic parenting style predicts romantic and selfless love STYLES in a negative way and actress love in a positive and meaningful way. Conclusion: Therefore, by teaching this type of parenting style to parents, it is possible to help them to love in the future of their children.

Abstract:

This research aimed to examine the relationship between parental STYLES (authoritative, permissive, authoritarian and neglectful), attachment STYLES (secure, avoidant and ambivalent) & family climate (hot and cold) of two generations. Subjects were 220 (110 boy students of third class of secondary schools of two districts of Qazvin, and 110 parents) who were selected via cluster sampling. In this study, Schaffer, s parenting questionnaires STYLES (Naqashian, 1358) and Collins and Read, s attachment (Collins & Read, 1990) were used as measures for collecting required data. Analyzes were carried out using simple linear regression, pearson correlation and chi-square. Results revealed that parenting STYLES, attachment STYLES and family climate of parents, predict same variables in children as second generation.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between ego identity STYLES, self-assertiveness, and coping STYLES of female pre-university students in Tehran. Three hundred and twenty seven participants completed Berzonsky's Identity Style Inventory (1990), Andler and Parker's Coping Inventory (1990), and Gambrill and Richy's Assertiveness Inventory (1975).Results showed that students who had the informational and normative identity STYLES used problem-solving style and those with diffuse/avoidance identity style used avoidance as a style in coping. Results also indicated that the informational identity style had a correlation of 0.25 with basic assertiveness, a correlation of 0.11 with oppositional assertiveness. Diffuse/avoidance identity style had a negative relation (-0.15) with basic assertiveness, but did not have any correlation with oppositional assertiveness score. No relationship was found between normative identity style and assertiveness.

Abstract:

Considering the relationship between individuals' learning STYLES and their preferred teaching STYLES, this paper aims at studying the effect of the students' learning STYLES on their preferred teaching STYLES in Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran.180 out of 500 students are randomly selected in the academic year of 2010-211 by using Morgan's formula and completed "learning STYLES" and "teaching STYLES" questionnaires. The results show that many subjects are inclined towards active teaching style and have assimilation and convergent learning STYLES. In addition, students preferring active teaching style have often divergent learning style. It is suggested that instructors use active teaching methods and consider various techniques when designing their instructions in order to make students skillful in various learning STYLES and provide opportunities for their academic achievements.

Abstract:

the aim of this study was to examine the mediating role of problem-solving STYLES in the relationship between parenting STYLES and aggression. Three hundred students (152 girls, 148 boys) were selected using multistage cluster sampling from Marvdasht high schools. The participants completed the Alabama΄ s Parenting STYLES (Frick, 1991), the Problem-Solving STYLES (Cassidy & Long, 1996), and the Aggression Questionnaires (Buss & Perry, 1996). The results of path analysis indicated that punishment style significantly related to constructive and non-constructive problem-solving STYLES. Father΄ s cooperation was related to constructive problem-solving style. Non-constructive problem-solving style was significantly related to aggression. Nonconstructive problem-solving style mediated partially the relationship between punishment style and aggression. Research findings had theoretical and practical applications. The findings suggested reinforcing constructive problem-solving STYLES and appropriate parenting STYLES are related to lower aggression in students.
