Abstract:

Introduction: Tooth decay is the most prevalent human disease after common cold. Although, fluoride in drinking water and daily meals can prevent teeth decay, its over consumption may cause fluorosis. This research was designed to study fluorosis prevalence rate in Bandar Abbas PUPILS, Iran. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 867 PUPILS were randomly selected using a multi-stage sampling technique. Demographic characteristics of the PUPILS were collected and fluorosis degree based on Dean criteria was classified. Descriptive methods and t, ANOVA and Chi-Square tests were used for analysis and p<0.05 was considered as the significance level. Results: A total of 867 PUPILS were investigated. Mean fluoride rate for drinking water was 73% mg/l. Mild, moderate and severe fluorosis rate was 19.63%. The rates for male and female PUPILS were 18.9% and 19.26%, respectively. This difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: High rate of fluoride in Bandar Abbas drinking water and high prevalence rate of fluorosis in PUPILS necessitate preventive measures and education programs for families.

Abstract:

Sufism, which was originally established in Baghdad and Iraq and introduced such great people as Hossein ibn Mansoor Hallaj, Joneid and Shebli, could later appear in Khorasan, particularly after the Ghaznavids were overthrown and the Seljuks were crowned. In Khorasan, it introduced prominent figures such as Abulhassan Kharaqani, Sheikh Abolqassem Qosheiri and Abu Saeed Abu al-Kheir. In this regard, Sufism gradually became so popular that  at the time Mongols’ raid, its popularity was no less than the Sufism in Iraq and Shaam, and it was especially after the appearance of Sheikh Najm al-din Kobra, the founder of Kobravieh Sect, that a new spirit was poured into Sufism, and Khorasan and Kharazm became the destination for the wise, and people from here and there devoutly turned to Sheikh and after they studied under Najm al-Din's guidance, they grew to be the virtuous preachers of his righteous ideas in other lands. In the present article, the researcher first introduces Najm al-Din Kobra and proceeds to introduce the people who were related to him: some of whom being his instructors and others his PUPILS and disciples.

Abstract:

The objective of the research was to validate the AOT for estimation of VO2max in healthy PUPILS. Subjects included 80 boys and 102 girls selected by purposeful stratified sampling based on age criteria. Subjects participated in both AOT and a criterion test during a one week period. Age sub-groups were 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 years of age, each consisting of at least 10 volunteers. The criterion measures were directly obtained from gas analyzer outputs during a treadmill workout. Statistical analysis was based on multiple regression analysis. For boys, mean (±standard deviation) of weight, height, maximal heart rate, BMI, and relative VO2max were 55 (±17kg), 163 (±15cm), 201 (±8beat), 20.19 (±3.84kg/m2), 38 (±6ml/kg/min), respectively. The same measures for girls were 46 (±100kg), 156 (±9cm), 199 (±9beat), 18.60 (±2.95kg/m2), 34 (±4ml/kg/min), respectively. The study (P<0.01) the relationship between organizational culture with knowledge management indicates that knowledge management when will be successful performed in organization if appropriate cultural context is provided to this system. Because the guidance of the current wisdom of the organization is popular issue, and depends to staff organizational culture. Therefore organization should provide the appropriate culture for successful performance of knowledge management.showed that there was no significant relationship between age and relative VO2max for girls, whilst it was significant for boys (P £ 0.01). For both boys and girls, increase in BMI was accompanied by decrease in maximal heart rate and VO2max. Calculating formulas were produced in order to estimate VO2max from measures obtained of field AOT or Lab treadmill protocol. Compared to similar studies, produced formulas were scientifically acceptable, and the estimations were sufficiently accurate. High determination coefficients (Min = %45 and Max =%65) and low standard errors of estimate (Min=2.97 and Max=3.78 ml/kg/min) indicated that VO2max estimations by AOT protocols were considerably trustworthy. It is noteworthy that in comparison to adults, estimating formulas of V02max in adolescents generally have less determination coefficients.

Abstract:

Although the most characteristic symptoms of Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) are ophthalmoplegia, areflexia, and ataxia, in 1956, Dr. Miller Fisher already described pupillary involvement in some patients. From that moment on, several articles have reported non-reactive dilated or tonic PUPILS in patients with MFS. We report two patients who debuted with symptoms of dizziness and malaise (Video 1). . .
