Khorassan province is in a dry part of Iran. Frequent droughts, especially during recent years, have shown that drought is a very significant phenomenon which must be considered in any development program. For this purpose, rainfall data of 11 synoptic meteorological stations in Khorasan were studied to see whether drought is possible to be predicted. First order Markoff chain model was used in this study. For each station, the PROBABILITY of being in a wet, normal, or dry condition in the year 2004 was derived. Based on this study, Khorasan province has been zonned for states of normal, wet and dry situation. Related and appropriate map and tables have also been presented.

In this paper, a class of MATRICES, namely, Drazin-dagger MATRICES, in which the Drazin inverse andthe Moore-Penrose inverse commute, is introduced. Also, some properties of the generalized inverses of these MATRICES, are investigated. Moreover, some results about the Moore-Penrose inverse, the Drazin inverse and the numerical range of some reciprocal MATRICES are obtained. In particular, the relations between reciprocal MATRICES, Drazin-Dagger MATRICES and star order are established. Also, some properties of the generalized inverses of the conjugate EP MATRICES are studied. To illustrate the results, some numerical examples are also given.

Background & Aims: Different scoring systems are used in order to assess the functional quality of intensive care units (ICU) and to predict the required costs and facilities of intensive cares. Variety of scoring systems has been explained that each has advantages and disadvantages. In this study Simplified Acute Physiology Score-III (SAPS-III) and Mortality PROBABILITY Model-III (MPM-III) were compared. Materials & Methods: The current cross-sectional study was conducted on 240 non-traumatic patients admitted at ICU of Al-Zahra Hospital in 2016-17. Patients' information including demographics, mean of systolic, diastolic and arterial pressure, pulse rate, respiratory rate, temperature, Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS), WBC, hematocrit, bilirubin, creatinine, arterial blood gas, and the presence of underlying diseases was gathered from the records for measurement of MPM-III and SAPS-III scores and then they were compared. Results: This study was conducted on 240 non-traumatic patients. Discrimination of MPM-III in cutoff point of 0. 17 was 0. 83(P<0. 001; 95%CI: 0. 765-0. 898), sensitivity and specificity of this test in prediction of non-traumatic mortality was 82% and 73%, respectively. Discrimination of SAPS-III in cut-off of 48. 5 was 0. 78(P<0. 001; 95%CI: 0. 72-0. 84), while its sensitivity and specificity was 83% and 70%, respectively. Duration of ICU hospitalization (P=0. 028 and 0. 002) and duration of intubation (P=0. 001 and <0. 001) had direct association with mortality based on both scoring systems while total duration of hospitalization was only significant in SAPSIII (P=0. 002). Conclusion: Comparison of SAPS-III and MPM-III in non-traumatic patients presented a higher discrimination ability for MPM-III. In addition, findings showed that mortality in MPM-III was in association with duration of ICU admission and intubation while for SAPS-III, in addition to previous factors, total duration of hospitalization was associated as well.

In this paper, some elementary operations on triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs) are defined. We also define some operations on triangular fuzzy MATRICES (TFMs) such as trace and triangular fuzzy determinant (TFD). Using elementary operations, some important properties of TFMs are presented. The concept of adjoints on TFM is discussed and some of their properties are. Some special types of TFMs (e.g. pure and fuzzy triangular, symmetric, pure and fuzzy skew-symmetric, singular, semi-singular, constant) are defined and a number of properties of these TFMs are presented.

The relations between the spectrum of the matrix Q+ Rand the spectra of MATRICES (g+δ) Q+(a+b) R-QR-RQ, QR-RQ, aRb-QRQ, aRQR-(QR) 2, and bR-QR have been given assuming that the matrix Q+R is diagonalizable, where Q, R are {g,δ}-quadratic matrix and f; g-quadratic matrix, respectively, of order n.

In this article‎, ‎we study the product of 2×2 MATRICES from both geometric and probabilistic perspectives‎, ‎with a particular focus on the concept of growth‎. ‎By exploring the connections between the multiplicative properties of MATRICES and the composition of isometries of hyperbolic geometry‎, ‎new proofs for several classical theorems are presented.

In this paper, the concept of k-regular fuzzy matrix as a general- ization of regular matrix is introduced and some basic properties of a k-regular fuzzy matrix are derived. This leads to the characterization of a matrix for which the regularity index and the index are identical. Further the relation between regular, k-regular and regularity of powers of fuzzy MATRICES are dis- cussed.
