One of the common doubts in commentating the verse: There is no compulsion in religion, has been considered as the problem of disagreement between primary holy war in Islam and the meaning of the verse. By the verse is meant real negation of every compulsion in Divine religion, every internal compulsion for making people to accept religion and every external compulsion in the realm of Divine religion. None of these cases disagree with Divine will and compulsion to the sovereignty of His religion. Commentators have presented different solutions for the problem among which the best one is the necessity of predicating the verses of unconditioned holy war to conditioned ones. None of the verses in the field, therefore, may be regarded as unconditioned, yet all are conditioned to such limits as encroachment, warfare, injustice, harassment etc.

In spite of full explicitness of the verses of the Holy Quran about detestability of war and corruption on the earth and the peaceful position of the Prophet of God during the thirteen years after his designation by the God in Mecca and legitimacy of defense during the post-Hegira era. many jurists, commentators and traditionalists termed war and clashes with infidels both believers and non-believers in the Books as obligator’s with this exception that believers in other Books may observe their own religious rituals if they pay tribute and accept the sovereignty of Islam, however, polytheists had no option other than accepting Islam or being destroyed. Like many other contemporary researchers, the author of this article believes that the position of the Prophet of Islam concerning other nations, after his migration to Medina, was only a defensive one and that he was authorized to fight only those people who wanted to destroy Islam and Muslims, therefore, not only the believers in other Books but also polytheists were free in their territory  and in the event they converted to the citizens or nationals of the Islamic government they could enjoy all humanitarian support by paying a trine tax.In an effort to throw light on this truth, the author has examined the verses referred to by the supporters of the initial holy war as a justification, and proved that these verses do not support their purpose, but on the contrary they reveal the position of the initial defense of the early Muslims and that the theory of initial holy war belongs to the second century of Islam, which was proposed by commentators like Ghetadeh.

The tension and conflict between political units in various domestic, national, regional and global scales has precedents throughout human life and has always been observed throughout human history. The need to more control and monitor war has led to the development of a concept called just war. Like most of the divine religions, the religion of Islam has also dealt with the concept of just war, but the analysis of this issue from the perspective of Islam and especially the Holy Quran has received less attention from researchers. This article deals with the most important examples of just war in Holy Quran. The main research question is "What are the examples of just war in the Holy Quran?". This article discusses that Islam has developed principles for a just war that can be examined in three domains (before, during and after the war) and eighteen conditions and examples of these domains and their conditions can be seen in various verses of the Holy Quran. It is hoped that the discovery, identification and development of these principles can provide a basis for controlling and monitoring violent behaviors and especially warful behaviors of humans.

Shortly after gulf war (G.W) thousands of war veterans referred with sign and symptoms of an unknown disease called G.W illness. Despite multiple studies undertaken by several non-governmental and governmental centers this illness remains unclassified and can not be coded by international classification of disease (I.C.D). The etiology has not been found and the illness appears to be multifactorial and basically related to use of depleted uranium (D.U) weapons, chemical warfare (C.W) and biological agents. This article reviews this illness and the adverse effects of D.U and B.c.W agents in the G.W battlefields.

Memorial architecture affects people in terms of shape, plan and design purpose. Therefore, it is necessary to know the basics of building design in criticizing its architecture. The history of architecture has presented forms and structures in line with social events. One of the important contemporary events is the Islamic Revolution and the era of holy defense. Islamic revolution has important concepts in social, economic and artistic issues. Respecting the martyrs and fighters and trying for inter-generational dialogue led to the design of monuments, memorials and museums. The purpose of this research is the comparative comparison of war and holy defense museums. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the body, circulation and spaces by using case examples and using descriptive-analytical research methods. Based on the importance of the research and with the aim of identifying the design patterns of the museums of war and holy defense, this research tries to answer the following question with a comparative study: What are the physical-conceptual characteristics that shape the museums of war and holy defense? Results show; the war museums and holy defense museums are completely different in terms of content and form in such a way that the symbols, space creation and physical expression are inconsistent.

An outstanding feature of Persian literature is that it is full of mystical themes which are tied inseparably to Farsi prose and poetry. A majority of our poetry is composed of poems that include mystical concepts. An event that affected our contemporary poetry was the Iran-Iraq war of 1980s. Responsible Iranian poets did their best to depict heroic epics of this period. As a result, a new form known as 'Holy Defense Poetry' came into being. An important theme of this type of poetry is mysticism. By studying and analyzing the poems of 'Holy Defense', the authors try to prove that the poets use different mystical themes in their works.

The purpose of the present study was to qualitative investigate aspects life style of spouses martyrs 8-year war of Holy Defense. The methodology of this research was qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The research population was all spouses of martyrs in Yazd city. The sampling method was purposeful and the sample size was as high as theoretical saturation in qualitative research based on a semi-structured interview on 17 martyrs' spouses. To collect the data, interviews were initially conducted by the researcher with the wives of the martyrs, and criteria, characteristics and categories related to healthy lifestyle were extracted based on the views of martyrs and experts. For investigate health and mental health of the spouses of the martyrs, were used the general health questionnaire Goldberg (1972). For data analysis, thematic coding using Colaizzi method was conducted. The results showed that healthy lifestyle of spouses of martyrs has four dimensions of mental health, social relationships and participation, spiritual orientation and ethical management, which are divided into two categories of lifestyle focused on mental health (futures, independence, social interaction, etc. ) And the lifestyle focused on the spiritual-moral orientation (worship and servitude, faith in God, moral commitment, etc. ). Based on research findings, it is recommended that the dimensions of lifestyle identified in this study be used as a healthy lifestyle by educational and research institutions working in the field of mental health.

Many national and religious epics have been composed to appreciate national and religious heroes and to describe gallantry, brevity and goals. The poetry of Holy Defense is a branch of resistance literature – itself a branch of epic literature – reflecting in a unique way in different eras. Although there are differences between poems with the theme of resistance within Holy Defense and post-Holy Defense poetry, and those of classical epic literature, they have the common subject matters of fighting against cruelty, domestic despots, and foreign enemies, and also seeking justice and calling for resistance against enemy. Most poems, composed in the early years of Holy Defense, aim at encouraging and persuading for fighting and resistance; therefore, they are of epic nature. This study examines the function of ranting in the epic poetry of different eras of Persian poetry, including Holy Defense poetry. The rantings were first chosen and then analyzed.

Background and Aim: Scorpions are a large group of arthropods belonging to the arachnid category, which live in humid and desert areas, are active at night, and have deadly venom. They can be dangerous for humans. Since the Iranian combatants were present in the desert areas to defend our holy land and the operations were usually carried out at night and there was a possibility of scorpion stings among them, this article examines the prevention of scorpion stings in the imposed war.Methods: This study was done using the Library research method and searching scientific databases. Scientific and oral interviews with academic staff and experienced officials of health affairs during the holy defense period have also been used.Results: With the national determination and cooperation of all, considerable success was achieved in the prevention of scorpion stings, so that the reports collected from field emergency centers and hospitals in the war zone indicate that no warriors have been bitten by a scorpion. Individual training measures to prevent scorpion stings to the warriors, building concrete trenches, improving the environment, and collecting waste and disposing of it have been effective.Conclusion: Health measures and the implementation of scientific Arrangements during the holy defense prevented possible injuries caused by scorpion stings among the warriors. Therefore, compliance with health standards is recommended in similar conditions. It is necessary to continue scientific research to combat this arthropod and regarding prevention and treatment to reduce its possible and unforeseen risks.
