Abstract: 

Background and Aim: In clinical practice it is commonly assumed that occlusal splints have therapeutic value in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), however there is still lack of sufficient evidence to support this claim. The purpose of this double-blind study was to evaluate the short-term (8-week) efficacy of a stabilization splint in subjects with temporomandibular disorders seeking treatment.Materials and Methods: Seventeen TMD patients were treated with stabilization splints for eight weeks. In addition to filling out questionnaires, all patients underwent a preoperative and postoperative clinical-functional investigation of the masticatory system. Qualitative data were analyzed using Fisher exact and Chi-square tests and Wilcoxon signed ranks test was applied to report quantitative data.Results: A statistically significant decrease was observed postoperatively in the Helkimo clinical dysfunction index (P=0.000) as well as the anamnestic dysfunction index (P=0.020). In addition there was a statistically significant decrease in muscle tenderness, after treatment (P=.002).Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the use of a stabilization splint is beneficial in treatment of the signs and symptoms of TMD, and especially has a positive effect on muscle tenderness.

Abstract: 

We consider control systems with some unknown parameters. The aim is to stabilize the considered system with respect to a part of the variables while the other phase variables stay bounded through an auxiliary system by applying a parameter adaptation using a tuning function. Limit systems and some bifurcations phenomena are briefly discussed.

Abstract: 

One of the noticeable slope types is land slide that has affected human life with economic and social destruction. The factors of slope, geological factors, land use and settlements of rural area, deforestation, destruction of agricultural soils can be affected in land slides.Recognition of landslides area and zoning it, could help land use and low hazards in this area. This phenomenon can help environmental planning and managers for the safety lives of settlements and planning management crises.\The aim of this paper is to study physical and humanity factors which affect landslide and to provide a solution.The research method of this paper is descriptive and the result has shown that for the management of landslide, GIS for analyzing data and integrated river basin management are needed. Up to now there have been many studies about landslides phenomena which hava submitted deferent methods for stability in Iran and in the world. It has been found that management crises center in the capital of provinces and important urban areas.

Abstract: 

Liposomes as a drug carrier have numerous dominancy. Liophilization is the most propr form of these products for long-term maintenanace, but this procedure is affected by unstabilizing agent that results in destruction of membrane, release of content and change in size and microbial contamination; bence for prevention of the adverse effects, the protective role of sugars such as: Maltose, Fructose, Glucose, Galactose, Sacetose, Saccharose and Lactose were studied.For this purpose, after preparation of liposomal suspension, categorized in four duplicate groups and concentrations of 25, 50, 100 percent of these sugars were added to those. On the basis of color and consistency of products, the best method of freezing is as application of absolute alcohol and then chilling in-70 on for 16 h. in survey of protective substances concentrations 0.7, 1.4, 2.8, and 5.6 percent of the mentioned sugars were used for calculating of leakage percent (Upon on the ratio of optical density of treated samples to untreated).In this study, released maltose had highest effect. Level of fusion and aggregation had any significant difference between pre and post lyophilized samples in centrifugation with 10000 rpm. Microbial state of recent samples was studied by culturing in SCD and SCDA media that indicated microbial growth in both samples.

Abstract: 

Polyolefins are one of the mostly used polymeric materials due to low prices and acceptable properties. But these polymers have low UV resistance and therefore it is highly recommended to stabilize them against UV light. This article reviews the effect of different stabilizers and combinations of them on the UV stability of polyolefines. These stabilizers are divided into four general categories: UV screeners, UV absorbers, excited state quenchers and free radical scavengers. Although the latter leads to an acceptable UV resistance in polyolefines, but to achieve the best results a combination of these stabilizers is used. Researches have recommended a trilogy combination of a HALS, a type of antioxidant and carbon black as the best stabilizing system for polyolefines.

Abstract: 

To evaluate the grain yield stability of rapeseed promising lines in different environmental conditions, thirteen spring oilseed rape genotypes were assessed in a randomized complete block design with three replications in four locations (Karaj, Sari, Gorgan and Zabol) during two years (2015-2017). Simple analysis of variance showed that there was a significant difference between rapeseed lines in terms of grain yield at a probability level of 1%, which indicates that there is enough genetic diversity between them. In combined analysis of variance, the effects of year, location, year × location and genotype × location were also significant at 1% probability level. The comparison of mean grain yield showed that the rapeseed lines Simba, L104 and RGS003 produced the highest grain yield of 3105, 3058, 3032 kg ha-1, respectively. For stability analysis, different methods of stability including one-variable and regression methods (12 methods in total) were performed. Based on the integration of the results of these methods, three rapeseed lines Simba, L104 and RGS003 were stable and high yielding. For complementary studies, it will be recommended that these stable and high-yielding rapeseed lines be used in farm trials in target areas under farmer's conditions.
