Abstract: 

Consumption and consumerism is a multidimensional subject which can be studied from various aspects and is influenced, in each society, by its general culture, norms and dominant values.Consumerism is to give a central importance to consumption and, aiming at material comforts and wealth. This picture of consumption started becoming popular from 19th century, with an aim of perpetuation of Capitalism and to stress upon the culture of utmost consumption, with an aim of enjoying material pleasures. In advancement of this process, publicity was an appropriate tool for this task. Through it frontiers between countries were broken and consumerism became a value in all societies.Consumerism leaves various economic, psychological and, most significantly, sociological effects on a society. Amongst the sociological effects of consumerism, the transformation of wealth and consumption into a value and its dominance on other values, showing off of wealth, class gaps and social inequality, sense of deprivation etc., can be pointed out.The present article using a methodology of reference, analysis of materials and descriptive and, a sociological procedure, after explaining the effects of consumerism in the society, studies consumerism from the viewpoint of Islamic teachings, and concludes that consumption on its own is not an objectionable phenomenon and Islam too, encourages the Muslims to fulfill daily needs of their lives. Whereas, consumerism and making consumption a goal has negative effects, and is in line with concepts like extravagance, wastage and spoilage and has been considered objectionable from Islamic viewpoint.

Abstract: 

فقط تولید کالا و رشد اقتصادی نمی تواند از زندگی ما حمایت کند، بلکه همه افراد از فقیر تا ثروتمند به تناسب ظرفیت خود نیاز دارند، از زندگی لذت ببرند تا سطح خوشبختی کل جامعه افزایش یابد. برای لذت بردن از مصرف کالا و خدمات که نتیجه رشد اقتصادی محسوب می شوند، احتیاج به "سرمایه انسانی در مصرف" داریم. دانش مصرفی، لذت بردن از مصرف و سطح خوشبختی جامعه را به عنوان "سرمایه نامحسوس" اقتصادی افزایش می دهد و در یک نگاه سیستمی این خود بهترین راه برای افزایش سرمایه اجتماعی و بالا بردن رشد و توسعه اقتصادی است. در این پژوهش با استفاده از تئوری های مصرف، مدل ریاضی و نگاه سیستمی، به تحلیل رابطه معنادار بین لذت بردن از مصرف به عنوان سرمایه نا محسوس و رشد و توسعه اقتصادی می پردازیم.

Abstract: 

The current situation in Iran and the intensification of sanctions against Iran, has made some application development as a necessity which One of these is the use of Iranian goods. Using Iranian products cause domestic industrial growth, lower unemployment, lower exports of crude oil and mineral resources... and also Reduce the impact of external sanctions and reducing injuries on the body of the Iranian economy which is the main target of sanctions.Therefore, this study seeks to identify and examine the factors that influence consumer of Iranian goods. By putting the basis of the theory of planned behavior, attempt to estimate the factors influence Iranian consumer purchase intention to buy Iranian product. The study also by adding the two variables of knowledge and attitude towards sanctions tries to gain a deeper understanding of the current situation in Iran. Moreover due to the strong influence of attitude, related factors such as price and quality perception and also perception of Iranian manufacturer competence of the products has been studied.The results show that the perceived price, perceived quality and perceived competence of Iranian manufacturer, have positive impact on attitudes toward Iranian product and also perceived behavioral control, attitude, subjective norm, knowledge and attitude towards sanctions, positively influence consumer purchase intention of Iranian product.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to estimate the nonlinear effect of oil, gas, electricity, and coal energy consumption on carbon dioxide emissions in ten energy-intensive countries (Iran, South Korea, Japan, Germany-Russia-USA-India-Canada-Brazil and China) in the world. Statistics and information used to estimate the nonlinear autoregressive panel model with distributed intervals (PANEL NARDL) have been extracted from the database of the World Bank and the World Energy Organization for the period 1985-2019. The results show that increased consumption of gas, electricity, coal, and oil leads to increased carbon dioxide emissions, while a decrease in their consumption reduces carbon dioxide emissions in the long run. Also, the nonlinear relationship between the per capita of consumption of these four types of energy and the emission of carbon dioxide in high-consumption countries was confirmed by the parent test in the long run. Therefore, reducing the use of fossil fuels and shifting the focus to clean and renewable energy consumption is proposed for the five selected countries, especially Iran, and economic policymakers should prioritize environmental protection by enacting applicable laws. In this way, the creation and development of intelligent infrastructure for the carbon economy and industry are essential.

Abstract: 

This study examined the nature and patterns of rice consumption in Nigeria, using Kwara State as a case study. The study methodology comprised a two stage sampling technique which was used to survey 110 rice consumer households across two villages and six towns in Kwara State. Analytical tools used in the study include descriptive statistics and the multinomial logit model. The major factors that significantly influence household preferences for either a combination of local and imported rice or the imported rice only to the local rice were the income of the head of household, household size and the educational status of the heads of household, the price per unit kilogramme of rice, however, was not a significant factor. This study therefore recommends that an effort should be made to increase rice production coupled with the provision of standard processing facilities. This will help to make the local rice sufficiently more competitive thereby increasing its demand.
