Abstract

 Introduction: With the physical and social expansion of cities and their transformation into heterogeneous population and social centers and increasing economic poverty, the cause of urban damage and unbridled growth of anomalies in cities has emerged. In such a way that with the expansion of cities, centers are formed in their area where more crimes occur than in other areas. Method: The present study was conducted with a descriptive 3-analytical approach and the statistical population of the study is all crimes related to Theft that have occurred in the city of Varamin. Also, in order to identify and analyze the spatial and temporal centers of crimes, SPSS and GIS softwares have been used and in order to measure the level of institutional trust, a questionnaire has been used. Findings: According to the research findings, the patterns have identified five Crime Centers, including the central part of the city, Khairabad neighborhood, Goltepe, Amrabad and Sakineh Banoo. Also, the time pattern of crimes has shown an increase in the occurrence of crimes on the weekends and Saturdays. It has seen an increase in crime, then peaked in the afternoon and resumed with the resumption of public activities from 5pm to 9pm. Conclusion: According to the findings of the study, it has been determined that the pattern of crime in the city of Varamin is a cluster that has required the formation of Crime Centers. According to this issue, the purpose of this study is to identify the spatial and temporal patterns of crimes committed in order to improve the quality of law enforcement services and help identify the challenges facing urban management in reducing and eliminating criminal goals to improve the quality of life of city residents.
