Abstract

Maintaining security is the most important concern of countries, because without security, progress and development will not be achieved. One of the ways to achieve security is the use of diplomacy, which is the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but in addition to the diplomacy of the Defense Organization, it can also use The method of defense diplomacy provides security. This research is in response to the question that what are the signs of the Supreme Leader's defense diplomacy? In response to the research question, in the statements of the Supreme Leader, 10 main indicators of the defense diplomacy of the Supreme Leader were extracted from his statements and then categorized, and their effects on the soft power of Iran were analyzed. The theoretical framework is based on the soft threat theory. The method. The current research is descriptive-analytical, and its data and sources have been collected using a library method. The final results of the review of views show that defense diplomacy can provide the interests and goals of the political system without the use of hard power, and defense diplomacy can be considered a part of the strategic imperatives in the era of soft war, and finally, the mission of defense diplomacy is to increase national power in order to repel The soft threats of the enemy are in all political, military and economic fields.
