Abstract

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of praying motives on personal, social and ENVIRONMENTAL LIMITATION of performing student PRAYERs.Method: 1100 college’s students of Shiraz University by using a stratified random sampling procedure were selected and answered 77 items throghquestionnaire developed by the researcher.Result: The results of the present research indicate mental tranquility, fulfillment of a religious obligation, theophobia and habit as the most frequent reasons in performing PRAYERs in order. The results also show that participant's perception of personal limitation PRAYER were statistically significant, between groups (various motives) no difference in social and ENVIRONMENTAL LIMITATION were present. Furthermore females and males were significantly different in their praying motives. Those teenagers who are encouraged by their teachers in performing PRAYERs or to do it sometimes are categorized as influenced by theophobiaConclusion: The author of the survey concludes considering the significant role of praying on heath, and our religious culture emphasizing on importance of performing PRAYER therefore the present study could be helpful in programming and planning the supreme educational system and improving mental health of the society.
