Abstract: 

Background & Aims: Quality assurance of higher education, especially philosophiae doctor (PhD) education, is one of the concerns and priorities of higher education planning planners. Comparing educational systems can help to improve the quality of nursing programe. The purpose of this study was to compare the educational system of Nursing Ph.D in Iran with The UNIVERSITY of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins UNIVERSITY and Duke UNIVERSITY. Materials & Methods: This descriptive-comparative study was conducted in 2021. The four-stage Beredy model of description, interpretation, neighborhood, and comparison was used to compare the Iranian nursing education system with the top three nursing schools in the world in 2020. Data were collected by the reputable websites of the universities. Then, the data were compared according to the aim of the research. Results: the structure of nursing Ph.D program in Iran and the top three nursing schools in the world are approximately similar to each. But, there are differences in the mission, general purpose, the content of courses and their relevance to the needs of society, the allocation of units to research and theoretical courses, training approaches and perspectives on clinical nursing. Conclusion: Given the comparisons and curriculum advantages of the top three Universities, it is appropriate for Iranian nursing education planners to makefundamental changes to the curriculum of this section in terms of mission, goals, courses, and pay attention to student’s critical thinking, educational needs, and competencies of the graduates.

Abstract: 

Introduction: The expansion of a more sustainable world is the most obvious logical consequence of higher education efforts. Almost every higher educational institution has built its mission on goals beyond the creation and dissemination of knowledge. The overall purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of sustainable universities on intellectual capital with the fourth generation approach in macro medical universities in region one in order to provide a model. Methods: The present applied research was conducted in 2021 with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The statistical population in the qualitative section was 16 people being selected using the purposive sampling method, and in the quantitative section, 320 people were selected as a statistical sample based on Cochran's formula through stratified random sampling. In order to collect data, researcher-made questionnaires on sustainable universities and Bontis Intellectual Capital Questionnaire were used. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equations were used to analyze the data. Results: The results of confirmatory factor analysis show that at 99% confidence level, t-values for the dimensions of the sustainable UNIVERSITY questionnaire were out of (2.58, -2.58) range, so there was a strong positive and significant relationship between the variables of a sustainable UNIVERSITY with all its dimensions. Conclusions: Considering the obtained results, it can be concluded that the relationship between a sustainable UNIVERSITY and intellectual capital was positive and significant. This can be due to paying attention to the scientific nature and fruitfulness of intellectual capital and its continuous development in order to achieve one of the ultimate goals, which is sustainable development.

Abstract: 

Background and Objective: Coordinating structure with technology is among factors which can contribute to important of effective performance. In line with this, the present research aims at reviewing the existing technology in IRI Police UNIVERSITY (IRIPU) Education and Training division and reviewing the impact of coordination of structure with technology on performance of education and training division of IRIPU in 2010 in order to provide a proper structure in education and training division. The aforesaid coordination and its impact on performance reviewed in the framework of 4 research hypotheses.Method: The research is of applied type and is conducted using descriptive ـsurvey method. To review the hypotheses, all the personnel of IRIPU education and training division got involved in the research. The required data was collected through questionnaire containing 20 questions. The data collected and after being described, variables relation reviewed and analyzed through using Pearson correlation coefficient. Standard question used for developing questionnaire and its reliability confirmed by experts’ comments. Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient used for evaluating reliability of the questionnaire (a=0.97).Findings: Results of the research indicated that there is significant relationship between technology and organizational structure. The existing technology is a complicated technology, and very organic structure is the type of structure complying with it.Conclusion: Very organic structure is required for having desirable performance with existing technology, and some recommendations are offered in line with this.

Abstract: 

Background and Objectives: The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the internal and external efficiency of the master course of curriculum planning in the Nasibeh Campus of Farhangian UNIVERSITY. Methods: The present study was an applied onein terms of its purpose and a descriptive survey in terms of its implementation. The population of the study included the current and graduate students of the curriculum planning master’s at Nasibeh Campus - attending the UNIVERSITY from 2015 to 2019 (N=36). As the population was small, the census sampling technique was implemented. The internal efficiency of the course was evaluated based on the documents available in the educational files of the students and graduates. Furthermore, the external efficiency was investigated using a researcher-made questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was assessed using face and content validity criteria. The reliability of the questionnaire was determined at 0.89 using Cronbach’s Alpha. The internal efficiency was evaluated using standard formulas. Moreover, the analysis of the questionnaire data was carried out using SPSS Statistics. Findings: the findings of the present study showed that the mean grade of the courses was 17.72 (88.6%). In the investigated period, the rate of loss was 2.57, the average length of the course was 4.96 semesters, the rates of passed and failed credits were 99.65% and 0.35%, respectively, and the rates of passed and failed courses were 99.69% and 0.31%, respectively. Furthermore, the rates of individual pass and fail were 99.65% and 0.35%, respectively. On this basis, the coefficient of internal efficiency was determined at 82.1%. The external efficiency of the course was determined at 53.1%. Thus, as 46.9% of the external efficiency was not fulfilled, it was concluded that the external efficiency was not convenient. Conclusion: External efficiency indicates the real value of educational courses in terms of social effectiveness. The absence or defect of external efficiency is synonymous with the loss of human and material resources in an educational system.

Abstract: 

In recent years, with increasing growth and volume of changes in didactic methods, adapting learning grounds to all facets of the learners' needs are focused attention by education experts. Because the virtual world can, due to its own structure, strengthen or weaken interactions followed by learning process. Regard to the importance of this subject, we decided to comparatively and analytically examine the properties of Distance Higher Education institutions in countries of England (Open UNIVERSITY in UK), India (National Open UNIVERSITY if Gandhi), Japan (The Open UNIVERSITY in Japan) and Iran (Payame Noor UNIVERSITY) in the major of Psychology in order to find similar and different points, and to use effective experiences via adapting with existing conditions which lead to advancement of distance learning.

Abstract: 

The course of scientific developments of universities and higher education institutes has led to the emergence of community-based universities, with an approach of effectiveness and enjoying stable societal functions in society. The purpose of the UNIVERSITY’ s stabilizing function is societal security. The present study is carried out through a combined exploratory method aims at identifying ways to enhance the UNIVERSITY’ s effect on the societal security of the IRI. In the qualitative section, the scholars in this field were interviewed. 88 indicators were identified based on the results of content analysis and interview coding. The indicators were categorized within the following 7 dimensions: “ Teachers as Architects of Knowledge Teaching and Responsible Life” , “ Student Education with the Purpose of Creativity and Continuity of Order” , “ Academic Space and Environment as the Most Important Place for the Manifestation of Societal Relations, ” “ Efficient and Satisfactory Management” , “ Education of citizenship rights and responsibilities” , ” Research on new issues through a new way” and “ Promoting of forbearance and justice-seeking culture towards a safe and sustainable society” . In the quantitative section, a questionnaire was designed based on the dimensions and indicators identified, and then distributed among 170 experts in the field of research. The data analysis results indicate that the most important strategies for the UNIVERSITY’ s effectiveness in promoting the societal security in the 7 aforementioned dimensions are: “ The formation of scientific communities in the UNIVERSITY” , “ Review of the system of recruitment and promotion of lecturers based on the importance of civic activities and the provision of social services” , “ Consideration of the social and civil activities of students for their promotion to higher levels of education” , “ Rethinking the institutional values of the UNIVERSITY” , “ The relationship of education with the practice and needs of the community” , “ Conducting interventional research in the field of social harms” and “ Establishing compatibility between the UNIVERSITY and the surrounding community” .

Abstract: 

UNIVERSITY libraries are among the significant fundamentals of educational and research system. Therefore, viewpoints of the clients, along with their use and satisfaction level of these libraries and provided services can be an appropriate criterion for assessment of this important basis of academic system, which finally leads to change in existing methods and employing new information methods with the purpose of higher utilization by clients and elucidating the obstacles against their access to resources under search. The goal of this research is investigating satisfaction level of sport science students in Tehran UNIVERSITY, Tarbiat Moallem UNIVERSITY, and Shahid Beheshti UNIVERSITY, of the services provided in libraries and information centers of these universities, which was accomplished by interviewing the students via survey method. The society under study in this research involved 800 persons of undergraduate and postgraduate students being members of sport science libraries and 205 questionnaires were distributed among them (25%). In current research, different aspects of library from students' views were studied, including collection development, reference services, welfare equipments and facilities, laws and prescriptions of libraries, together with computer and information services. Regarding the calculated value of t at α level of 0.05, the research results indicate that by t value being positive, the students who are members of sport science libraries are significantly satisfied of the existing equipments and facilities, laws and prescriptions of libraries, and behavior of librarians, while by t value being negative, the students are not satisfied of reference services, computer and information services, and general services of their libraries.
