Abstract

Urban environment and furniture play an important role in creating peace and mental and mental health of citizens. The research is to investigate the role and effect of urban furniture and spaces on the peace of mind of citizens of Ardabil city. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive survey in terms of method and data collection method is library, field and observational. The statistical population is Ardabil city, which due to the large size of the community, sampling was done by random method. The sample size was determined using the Morgan table method to be 287 people, and therefore the questionnaire was distributed among this group. Data analysis was descriptive and inferential using SPSS software and a single-sample Ttest. The findings extracted from data analysis using SPSS software and T-test indicate that the results presented for the first, second and third hypotheses are (t = 17. 91 (t = 5. 919) and (t = 28. 366), respectively, and therefore the three hypotheses of the effect of urban furniture and spaces on the components of citizens' mental peace, mental health and satisfaction of Ardabil citizens were confirmed, and this shows that urban space has a reciprocal effect on the psyche. The general conclusion of the research indicates the effect of urban furniture on the psyche of Ardabil citizens. Therefore, it is suggested that urban authorities provide urban furniture in accordance with the mental conditions of citizens.
