EXCESS MOLAR VOLUME, VEM, AND EXCESS PARTIAL MOLAR VOLUME, VEI, OF BINARY LIQUID MIXTURES OF ACETIC ACID (1) + Mxylene (2), ACETIC ACID (1) + O-xylene (2), ACETIC ACID + P-xylene, TRICHLOROETHYLENE (1) + M-xylene (2),, TRICHLOROETHYLENE (1) + O-xylene (2) AND, TRICHLOROETHYLENE (1) + P-xylene (2) HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATED FROM THE DENSITY, R, MEASUREMENTS OVER THE ENTIRE RANGE OF COMPOSITION AT TEMPERATURES (293.15, 298.15, AND 303.15) K AND AT P =81.5 KPA. THE DYNAMIC VISCOSITY, H, AND THE REFRACTIVE INDICES, ND, OF THE BINARY MIXTURES AT TEMPERATURE 303.15 K WERE MEASURED. THE MEASURED SYSTEMS EXHIBITED NEGATIVE VALUES OF VEM AND BECOME MORE NEGATIVE WITH INCREASING TEMPERATURE. THE EXCESS MOLAR VOLUMES, DYNAMIC VISCOSITY AND REFRACTIVE INDICES DEVIATIONS WERE CORRELATED WITH THE REDLICH-KISTER.
