Abstract:

Due to real-time nature of multimedia data, the 802. 11ac standard applies the EDCA method to prioritize different types of traffics. The EDCA method supports four different access categories each with its own queue so that the highest priority is assigned to voice packets. However, the EDCA method only works well when the amount of voice packets is small compared to other types of traffics. As the density of the voice packets increases, the collision among them increases which results in delay and loss ratio increasing. This in turn can highly degrade the quality of the VoIP service. To address this EDCA issue, a new dynamic model called D-EDCA is proposed in this work. The new D-EDCA model provides a deterministic QoS by continually monitoring the voice packets and their corresponding queue to dynamically adjust the corresponding parameters when the density of the voice packets is above a threshold. The D-EDCA model is designed and implemented using NS3 simulator tool. Furthermore, in order to validate and compare the performance of the proposed D-EDCA with the conventional EDCA, a learning-based framework is designed that operates in three phases in the uplink mode of 802. 11ac network. The results prove that the D-EDCA model can highly improve VoIP communication compared to the conventional EDCA in terms of network metrics.

Abstract:

In this paper, implementing a guard-ring electrode in a capacitive transducer system is described. The performance of the transducers with and without a guard-ring in terms of output linearity and dynamic range is investigated and deviations from the expected theoretical results are reported. The two-terminal capacitors perform well only for a small gap distance in the range of 2-3 mm while the three-terminal sensor (50 mm diameter) demonstrates a very good performance for a wide range of 0.5-5 mm. For a gap distance of 3 mm. the slope deviation for the sensors without a guard-ring is in the range of 15%-29%. Whereas for the system with a guard-ring is only 6%, which clearly shows the range effectiveness of the third electrode for such transducer systems.

Abstract:

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: One of the dento alveolar abnormalities is class III malocculsion with maxillary deficiency. Correction of this malocclusion in growth ages using orthopedic appliances to avoid further extensive surgical treatment and improvement in soft tissue profile will help to reach beauty. The objective of this study was to survey changes in soft tissue profile following tongue guard in class III patients with maxillary deficiency. METHODS: In this experimental study, 20 class III patients (4 males and 16 females) with maxillary deficiency and reserve overjet with mean age of 7.5 years old referring to orthodontic department of Babol dental school in the year 2000 were treated by tongue guard at least for 6 months. Two lateral cephalometry were obtained before and after treatment for each patient and after tracing results were compared. FINDINGS: After cephalometric analyzing and comparison between before and after tracing, an obvious increase was found in forward movement of subnasal soft tissue (3.59 mm), superior labial salcus (3.12 mm), incisal edge of centrals (3.38mm), upper lip prominence (4.53 mm). Lower lip prominence (1.05 mm), inferior labial sulcus (1.47 mm) and the most anterior point of chin (1.56 mm) move anteriorly to some extent. Vertical distance of subnasal soft tissue (2.03 mm), superior labial sulcus (2.22 mm), upper lip prominence (2.65 mm), inferior labial sulcus (3.41mm), the most prominent point of chin (2.59mm) and incisal edge (3.47mm) have increased significantly. Nasolabial angle (-1.440), mentolabial angle (1.820) and soft tissue convexity angle (-2.360) have decreased. Upper lip thickness decreased. Distance between upper lip and esthetic line decreased and distance between lower lip and E-line increased. CONCLUSION: Due to results of our study in class III patients with maxillary deficiency treated by tongue guard because of change in position of inferior hard tissue and teeth. We can expect an improvement in soft tissue profile due to movement of mid third of face forwardly and downward and backward rotation of mandible.

Abstract:

In order to achieve the goals of training and actualization of internal talents, using past experiences, existing teachings, and considering the speed of developments and the nature of possible future battles, and to increase the capability and efficiency of IRGC forces, a doctrine based on principles and values must be presented. The revolution should be compiled in accordance with the mission needs of the IRGC. In this research, we will compile the doctrine of training and education of the Revolutionary guards. The present research is of developmental-applied type and is mixed with the research approach and is done using case-based method. The statistical population consists of military experts and specialists in the armed forces who have a history of service in strategic positions or a brigadier general position in the IRGC and the General Staff of the Armed Forces or have a doctorate or have scientific research in the subject of this dissertation. For data analysis, first, by conducting theoretical studies, documentary studies, as well as expert meetings, the principles and factors affecting the development of the doctrine of training and education of the Revolutionary guards were identified. To extract the principles, the content analysis method and data coding of the foundation were used and to analyze the collected data, quantitative statistical methods, frequency distribution tables and inferential diagrams were used to explain the answers to the questions. Using statistical software such as SPSS, the principles were tested and reviewed. Finally, 12 doctrinal principles were extracted,1) merit, 2) religious education, 3) proportion, 4) dynamism, 5) flexibility, 6) cohesion, 7) supply, 8) efficiency, 9) continuity, 10) experience Central, 11) localization and 12) development.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: The prevalence of Cl II malocclusion with tongue thrust and open bite is high. The pressure of the tongue during swallowing and its physiological activity could be transferred to the maxillary complex by the tongue crib and might advance the maxilla to an unfavorable position. This study aimed to evaluate the dentoskeletal change in the Cl II division 1 patients with anterior tongue thrust and mandibular deficiency treated by mandibular tongue guard, from a private office and orthodontic department of Azad University in Tehran. Methods & Materials: The sample consisted of 23 patients, (14 females aged 8 years and 9 months and 9 males aged 10 years and 6 months), with Cl II div 1 malocclusion in late mixed dentition with anterior tongue thrust. The patients were treated by mandibular tongue guard. Lateral Cephalograms were obtained and traced before and after treatment and certain angular and linear variables were measured. The pretreatment and post treatment measurements were compared using Paired t test to evaluate the significance of the results. Results: The findings indicated that SNB, facial angle, the distance between B and Pogonion to the reference line and Interincisal angle were significantly increased (P<0.05). The changes were mainly caused by mandibular growth, were observed after treatment by mandibular tongue guard. Decrease of IMPA, l-SN, ANB, Wits were significant (P<0.05). The changes of Jarabak index, SN-MP, SNA, Y-axis were not significant. Conclusion: In Cl II div 1 patients with mandibular deficiency combined with tongue thrust, mandibular tongue guard caused slight increase in mandibular growth.

Abstract:

One of the most important causes of patellofemoral pain syndrome is malfunction of quadriceps muscle, especially vastus medialis muscle weakness.Twenty seven normal healthy subjects (21.4±3.4 years) and 17 patients with patellofemoral pain (24.1±3.6 years) were included in this study. Recruitment Internal(RI) of the patients and normal subjects were recorded by 4 using a coaxial needle electrode in vastus medialis during voluntary contraction. The effects of ten sessions of closed chain quadriceps exercise were evaluated on the control group and patients by methods of RI recording. Following exercise program there was significant decrease of mean value of RI in Vastus medialis muscle (P<0. 0001). RI recording method could be used for assessing the weakness of Vastus medialis muscle.
