Abstract:

Abstract:

Objective: The aim of this study was to identify the best criteria for diagnosis of migraine in our pediatric population. Materials and Methods: A total of 85 children aged below 15 years who had been referred to the Neurology Clinic of Al-Zahra Hospital with headache as their chief complaint, were enrolled. Validated questionnaires were completed by them. The patients were evaluated using five sets of diagnostic criteria including the Vahlquist, the Prensky, the International Headache Society (IHS), the IHS-Revised (IHS-R), and the Maytal criteria; the sensitivity of each set of criteria was assessed. Results: Of the 85 children, clinically diagnosed as having migraine, 61 (72%), 73 (86%), 75 (88%), 76 (89.5%), and 76 (89.5%) met the criteria of IHS, Vahlquist, Prensky, IHS-R, and Maytal, respectively. Both the IHS-R and Maytal criteria had the highest, while the IHS criteria had the lowest sensitivity. Fifty-fourchildren (63.5%) were positive for all five sets of criteria. The application of HIS criteria for diagnosing pediatric migraine led to a smaller percentage of children with migraine being identified. Conclusion: Assessment of the sensitivity of the five sets of criteria for the diagnosis of migraine revealed the inadequacies and limitations of the IHS criteria in the diagnosis of pediatric migraine.

Abstract:

Translation criticism is the act of making judgments on a translation. It is carried out, in the strict sense, through assessing the quality of the target text and evaluating it in comparison with the original. One-sided criticism, which is based solely on the translation without comparing it with the source text, is not a thorough process, since it is the source text which is considered as the yardstick in translation evaluation. A translation may be natural in its language, normal in its style, intelligible in its content, and fluent in its readability, but it may not be faithful to the original in communicating its message. Thus, naturalness of language in the target text and faithfulness to the source text in conveying its message with the intended purpose or function are the basic criteria in translation criticism. The present article is an attempt to discuss these criteria in detail.

Abstract:

This article tries to answer this question: What are the commitment criteria in "binding literature"? The term "binding literature" or "Adab-ol-moltazam" is coined in Europe in the 19th century and actually is a branch in Europe. Commitment in Arabic and Persian literature in its modern sense appeared under the influence of European literary schools during the last century. The experts have considered various criteria in the definition of "binding literature". The criteria as: ethics and edification, religion, nationality, social and humanity issues. Each of these criteria can be a base to explain a specific literature as a "binding literature". But it needs further consideration which one of the criteria is closer to accuracy. Moreover, sometimes there are some contradictions in the presentation of the criteria that must be explained. The explanation of "binding literature" has exercised modification and development during the time and had been improved under the influence of social development.

Abstract:

The aim of the present study was to examine the eight criteria (age, sex, safety, price, diversity, application, appearance, culture and values of the society) in choosing toys from the perspective of the parents of children aged 4-6 in Sepahan city of Isfahan. The research method is descriptive survey in terms of target and data collection. The statistical population includes the parents of children aged 4-6, 13 kindergartens and preschool children in Sepahan city of Isfahan in the academic year of 2015-2016. Using cluster sampling method, 200 were selected as samples. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire made by a researcher made of 32 questions. The reliability of the Cronbach alpha test was confirmed at 89%. The results of descriptive and inferential statistics analysis using spss19 software were used in addition to frequency distribution and percentage of Friedman test, one way ANOVA and post hoc tests. The results indicate that there is no significant difference between the parents' view of education, different occupations and the number of children in the choice of toys for their children. However, the views of parents of different age groups showed a significant difference in 6 criteria of 8 criteria for selecting toys for children. Also, the three main criteria for selecting a toy are, respectively, the fitting of playing equipment with the age and gender of the child and the use of toys, and considering the standard of culture and values of society as a criterion that is often neglected by parents in the choice of toy, was determined.
