Abstract:

Poultry products are among most important food products that can improve food security to a great extend. However, it is very important to produce these products in an economically viable manner. In this research an attempt is made to measure Average Product (AP), Marginal Product (MP), Value of Marginal Product (VMP) and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) of cooperative poultry units in Sistan region with the help of both secondary and primary data. Primary data which have been gathered through distributing questioners among producers were processed with the usage of EXCEL statistical software. With the intention of quantifying AP, MP a transcendental production function is estimated with the help of EVIEWS software and then from the production function MP and AP method is utilized. The results show that in order to increase production in this sector technological change is necessary.

Abstract:

Research in geographical names or "toponymy" research and the study of the reasons for naming places reveal different angles of a period of historical monuments for historians as well as geographers. Geographical names can be considered as living history because they have a historical background. Naturally, each naming is given a place for a reason or causes and can help researchers understand issues and clarify some ambiguities. Geographical names can indicate worldview, beliefs, culture, tastes, interests, aspirations, communication position, economic, military, historical event, or the like. Because geographical names change over time and their pronunciation and spelling may change, toponymy research can be used to research the original name and the scope of its changes. One of the most important settlements in the desert of Iran, which was once considered the only desert city and the passage of many world travelers, is the settlement of Nosrat Abad Espi, whose name has changed over the centuries and eras.

Abstract:

The Sistan & Balouchestan province is extensive, this factor has caused it variety climate. The climatical regionalization of Sistan & Balouchestan conducts with new methods of regionalization such as factor analysis, clustering and autocorrelation. For this purpose selected 20 variables of 10 stations. To investigation on climate province with factor analysis method shows that 5 factors make climate of Sistan and Balouchestan. These factors to arranged atmospheric humidity, precipitation, temperature, sunlight, wind and thunder import respectively. In the south of province such as Oman coastal humidity and cloud are important factors to determination climate. In the southern Balouchestan temperature, sunlight and thunder determined characteristic of climate of this region.  Windy dusty factors are characteristic of the north - east corner. In the northern of Balouchestan precipitation and thunder are important factors to determination climate. The sunlight plays a basic role to making climate in the east part of province (Saravan). One of cluster analysis on 5 climate factors determined that exit five region climates. At the end, the province divided into three regions with autocorrelation methods.

Abstract:

Background and Objective: Rivers are the main arteries of human life, thus control and proper exploitation of these surface resources require a proper understanding of their behavior and investment in the river improvement. By reviewing and evaluating the projects carried out in this area, their positive and negative aspects can be checked and the obtained results can be used to overcome the projects shortcomings, improve their efficiency and make the future projects more fruitful. Method: Sistan River is the major border river between Iran and Afghanistan and Sistan life depends on it. The length of this river in Iran is about 70 Km. This study attempts to evaluate the performance of Sistan and Zahak diversion dam structures and the structures alongside the river using HEC-RAS hydraulic model. Findings: The results show that these structures increase the maximum Sistan flood power transmission in the absence of these structures from 500 m3/s to 810 m3/s. Considering the importance of estimating Manning roughness coefficient with high precision for hydraulic calculation in the river engineering projects, the main river bed roughness coefficient for the main river and the flood plains of Sistan were estimated as 0. 02 and 0. 035, respectively. It was also found that Discharge-Return period relation can be expressed as Q  360. 6Ln  T   16. 56. Existence of diversion dam structures on the unpredictable rivers such as Sistan River may double the flood power transmission in some cases. Discussion and Conclusion: In this study, the effect of 310 m3 per power transmission increse through Sistan River was observed. The reasons for the relatively low impact (the xpectation was more) are slight slope of Sistan plain, and water expansion on flood plain and back water in the direction of Sistan River flow.

Abstract:

In the current century, agriculture sustainability and the reductionof environmental pressure are two main objectivesof the management of agro-ecosystems that is challenged byenergy inefficiency. In this respect, the present study assessedone of the most important planting systems in Sistan Regionby emergy analysis approach. It analyzed all inputs ofgreenhouse cucumber production system in Sistan includingrenewable inputs (sunlight, wind, rain), non-renewable inputs(net topsoil loss), and purchased inputs (machinery, fossilfuels, electricity, plastic, utility, labor, N, K, P and micro fertilizers, and chemical herbicides) and services. In this study, an emergy analysis was performed on greenhouse cucumberproduction system of Sistan using the data collected from a3000-m2 greenhouse in Zahak Agricultural Research Station(as an average representative of agricultural lands in SistanRegion). The results revealed that total emergy of greenhousecucumber system was 1. 094 × 1018seJ, and diesel fuel andlabor were the main emergy consumers with the emergy consumptionrates of 7. 9 × 1017 and 1. 92 × 1017seJ ha-1, respectively. Main emergy indices including emergy yield ratio, emergy investment ratio, environmental loading ratio, andsustainability index were found to be 1. 00, 2089, 4. 34 and20. 23, respectively. Therefore, it is imperative to consider theoptimization of highly consumed inputs, the reduction of environmentalimpacts, and the increase in sustainability bymaking changes in greenhouse structures, enhancing energyuse efficiency inside the greenhouse, and mechanizing theplanting, cultivating and harvesting processes in order todevelop greenhouse cucumber system in Sistan.
