Abstract:

The role of carbon dioxide in global warming is one of the contemporary environmental issues, making necessary access to the technologies capturing the released CO2 into the atmosphere. Amino acids have the same amine functionalities as alkanolamines with similar behavior towards CO2 absorption. The solubility of carbon dioxide in potassium glycinate (KG) Solutions with different concentrations at various temperatures was measured. On the basis of the results, the mole of CO2 adsorbed, CO2, absorbed n, increases by temperature and the concentration of KG. The CO2, absorbed n versus the KG concentration at different temperatures was fitted with a sigmoidal function, so that the moles of CO2 adsorbed can be reproduced in the temperature range of 300. 15-327. 15 K and the concentrations of 0. 01-1. 00 M of KG within the experimental errors.

Abstract:

Background & Purpose: Salt and pepper change is the retinal change that occurs in human retina and its cause is not entirely known. In the present study, the retina of patients infected with Giardia lamblia living in Tehran was examined for presence of "Salt and pepper" retinal change. Methods& Patients: 50 girdiasis patients were selected as study group and 50 healthy individuals as control group. The retina of two groups was tested by ophthalmologist. White blood cells and eosinophila percentage were counted in haematology lab. For measurements of IgA and IgG Levels, SRID technique, and for IgE level, ELISA technique was applied. Results & Conclusion: The results indicated, six patients of study group showed "Salt and pepper" retinal change in their eyes. When the patients treated with metronidazole, the ocular change disappeared in three of them. In addition, eosinophila percentage, IgA, IgE and IgG levels in the infected patients were found increased significantly in comparison with control group. Meanwhile, among patients with ocular change and without ocular change the differences of eosinophila percentage and IgE levels were found significant, According to IgA and IgG levels, no significant difference between two groups were observed.

Abstract:

Domal structures produced by intrusion of Salt into rock strata, are one of the most important geomorphological unit of the earth surface in Iran. The main area of these landformes is folded and thrust zones of Zagros - Range and central - Iran. They are dated back from Precambrian to nebgene age. These Salt plugs are a mixed up & complex assemblage of various magmatic, sedimentary & metamorphic rocks which have been cut, replaced, mixed, disordered along up lifting. The occurrence of these Diapirs is due to the main stress from tectonic activity and buyonancy effect of Salt masses. There are exposed and hidden diapers in Iran and they have oval, circular, irregular dome, and etc. shapes. In Salt domes, Solution is a dominant process in landform development with resulting production of Karst Topography. In many Salt domes, Salt has moved downhill on the form of the Salt flows or glaciers. Salt diapirs of Iran are a wonderfull landscape and they have economic significance.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate electrospinning of polycaprolactone (PCL)- blend chlorophyllin sodium copper Salt (CSC) to prepare biodegradable nanofibrous mats for fabricating tissue engineering scaffold. For a suitable biofunctional tissue engineering scaffold, one of the most important factors was that the scaffold should provide enough space for the living cells. Therefore, by adding a non-toxic Salt into the nanofibrous mats it was possible to attain this goal. In this study, PCL/CSC nanofibrous mats were tested by scanning electron microscopy (SEM); and the mechanical properties of nanofibrous mats with or without CSC were tested by a universal mechanical testing machine. The crystallized property was investigated by an Xray diffraction (XRD) instrument. The degradation property and CSC released behavior were also tested in this study. SEM examinations revealed that the PCL/CSC nanofibres with 20% CSC lose their fibrous structure. For evaluation of the performance of PCL/CSC nanofibrous mats as scaffolds which could provide sufficient space for the cells, the mats were examined for weight loss and CSC release tests. The results demonstrated that the PCL/CSC nanofibrous mats could lose most of the CSC in the first several hours, which may provide more space for cells anchorage and proliferation. We conclude that combination of CSC into PCL nanofibrous mats is feasible for fabricating a novel tissue engineering scaffold.

Abstract:

There are about 200 Salt doms in the south of Zagros mountain and Persian Gulf. In some areas of these Salty doms, there are karsty sinkholes which cause special features in natural structures and morphology and influence the quality of surface water and ground water .The aim of this research is to study the morphology of Jahani Salt mountain with the use of lab methods and field observation, aerial pictures, safelights images topography and making go logical map with the scale 1: 50000.The sinkholes are the main karst Phenomena's in the Salty domes. The distribution of the sinkholes are studied via Arial pictures 1:20000, 1:40000 and field studies. (field researches). The sinkholes have different forms most of which have forms like funnel shaped and bowl shaped or circular with single or several holes they change according to slope, height, size and number and they are in most areas dispersed. It seems that tectonically forces haven` t had in fluency or have had little influence on their existence.(Faults have caused the existence of tectonically sinkholes. The sinkholes exist around the faults). The mineral and Salt water springs inside and around these Salt domes are other karst phenomena' s.Main karst forms in the area are rillen Karen, slide, Salty openings which exist as the result of tectonically forces and Solution, caves, Salty thin vallies, Solution galleries and Solution columns called genie chimney.

Abstract:

In this study, plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) coating on AZ31B magnesium alloy, being in electrolyte of sodium phosphate with various calcium hydroxide concentrations was investigated. To do this, phosphate electrolytes having diverse calcium hydroxide concentrations of 1, 2 and 3 gram per liter were studied. The coated specimens microstructure studies and chemical composition were carried out using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD). In order to study the corrosion behavior of created coatings in various conditions, Potentiodynamic polarization experiments and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were measured in body simulated physiological Solution. The results displayed that the highest corrosion resistance was achieved in the sample having 2 g/l calcium hydroxide with the lowest porosity and corrosion current density (2. 23×10-6 A/cm2).
