Abstract:

Many local and foreign theorists and authorities have tried to present a theoretical elaboration of the nature of Imam Khomeini’ s leadership and its profound impact. Therefore, the basic question of this research foresees this fact ‘ What kind of interactions has existed between Imam Khomeini’ s personality and leadership method and the observation of human dignity? ’ Was this method of leadership and its immense influence on the basis of the rejected model of charismatic leadership and can it be interpreted on this basis? The findings of this research, based on the analytical-documental method indicate the complete interaction of Imam Khomeini’ s character and leadership method, with the theme of human dignity and specifies that the Imam-as the highest symbol of human dignity and particularly a perfect human being and in the position of an educated, pure and dynamic religious authority in the lap of the high Islamic and Shiite teachings during his life and periods of leadership-had a special and inexpressible attention to the subject of human dignities and basically one of the reasons for the immense influence of his leadership are attributed precisely to this fact. Attempts have also been made concerning the incompatible aspects of the charismatic leadership with human dignities and demonstrating the lack of conjunction of this model with the Imam’ s leadership style, as another document to be presented in support of quest for dignity and dignity-centered attitudes of his character and leadership. Indeed, the Imam was the symbol of dignity and the perfect divine human being and for this reason, he left his profound impact on the peoples’ opinion and the majority of Muslims, the impact that has not become routine and afflicted with any defect.

Abstract:

Knowing oneself, self-knowledge, is the basis of all human knowledge, and man has always strived to equip himself with this kind of knowledge in order to achieve prosperity and perfection. Self-knowledge is the beginning of a path without traversing which entering other fields of knowledge, especially knowledge of the origin of the existence, is not possible. This article, first, discusses the mechanism of man's acquaintance with his soul from the viewpoint of Allameh Tabatabaee and then it presents a philosophical definition for soul. Next, the proofs of the abstractions of soul from body are presented. Finally, the doubts and objections of the refuters of the immateriality of soul, especially materialists, are discussed and due answers are given from the viewpoint of Allameh Tabatabaee.

Abstract:

Background and objectives: In recent years, analytical error rates in medical laboratories have decreased significantly. It has been demonstrated that the majority of errors occur outside of the laboratory in the pre-analytical and post-analytical phases. Our study aimed to evaluate the specimen REJECTIONs that occur for various reasons in the central clinical laboratory of a teaching hospital. Methods: The study included all specimens (emergency and routine) that were sent from different units of the hospital to the central laboratory between January and December 2019. Results: Based on the results, 3483 (0. 27%) out of 1, 307, 013 specimens were rejected. The REJECTION rate was highest for specimens from the intensive care unit (0. 69%) and lowest for specimens from the outpatient clinic (0. 18%). The specimen REJECTION rate was 0. 42% and 0. 22% for specimens from the service unit and emergency department, respectively. The REJECTION rate for specimens from the intensive care unit was significantly higher than that for specimens from the emergency department (p<0. 001), outpatient clinic (p<0. 001), and service unit (p=0. 010). Although the number of specimens from the intensive care unit was lowest, it had the highest rate of specimen REJECTION. In our study, most analysis requests were from the outpatient clinic. However, the specimen REJECTION rate was lowest in this unit. Conclusion: The results indicate that the reasons for specimen REJECTION may be influenced by the health status of the patient rather than the patient population.

Abstract:

The main goal of this study was to compare social stress and sensitivity to REJECTION in students with and without stuttering. The method of this study was causal-comparative. The statistical population included all students with stuttering according to DSM-5 in which 20 students with stuttering were selected using census sampling method and 20 normal subjects were selected by the random sampling. Then, they responded to Watson and Friend avoidance and social turmoil scale questionnaires and REJECTION Sensitivity Questionnaire (RSQ). Data were analyzed using the analysis of variance method and SPSS software. Results showed that individuals with stuttering had higher scores in social pressure, fear of negative evaluation, social anxiety and sensitivity to REJECTION than normal ones. The results of Wilks Lambda test showed that 71% of the difference between the two groups was determined by social pressure and sensitivity to REJECTION. Therefore, students with stuttering are exposed to increase their problems and frustration because of social pressures that they endure as well as sensitivity to REJECTION.

Abstract:

Background and Objectives: Immunologic REJECTION of the transplanted cornea is the major cause of human allograft failure with several risk factors contributing to it. Since in the corneal graft, most individuals do not reject the graft, we used the survival analysis with cure rate for the assessment of the factors influencing the cure rate at the time of data analysis. The main aim of this study was to evaluate the cure rate and assess the risk factors for corneal graft REJECTION in the keratoconus disease in Labafinejad Hospital, Tehran, Iran. Methods: This was a routine data base study in which the data were gathered from keratoconus patients’ files that had undergone penetrating keratoplasty operation. In the survival analysis, individuals who didn’t reject corneal were considered cured. To study the factors influencing the cure rate, we used the Weibull distribution for survival function and the logistic link function for the cure rate because of their tractability and accuracy. Results: Out of 119 patients 31 patients (26%) rejected grafts. Among the factors influencing cure rate, only in vascularization and in persons older than 25 years of age was ameaningful effect on decreasing cure rate. With this cure model, the expected cure rate in the non-vascularization and less than 25 year- old patients was 81, in non-vascularization and more than 25 year- olds it is 64, in the vascularization and less than 25 year- olds, the cure rate is 19 and in the vascularization and more than 25 years of age, the cure rate is 9 percent and the observed cure rate for Kaplan-Meier product limit estimator was 79, 61, 27 and 0 percent, respectively. The results showed that the estimate of cure rate in the survival analysis was near the Kaplan-Meier product-limits estimator. Conclusion: One of the benefits of modeling is its ability to generalize the results, using them in the prediction. According to the results obtained from the fitting cure model the vascularization is a major risk factor for decreasing cure rate in the keratoconus disease. We could use the cure rate model in the analysis of survival data with cure fraction.

Abstract:

As soon as the marriage contract is concluded, conjugal relationship and the resulting rights and responsibilities are executed between the parties. Despite, the Islamic fiqh and consequently the Iranian legislator has exempted wife from particular obedience in some cases. The Iranian Civil Code has prescribed obedience exemption explicitly, only in case of husband’s affliction with any of venereal diseases; while many other cases have not been in the focus of command; like aggravation of wife’s disease or a delay in her recovery as a result of particular obedience, husband’s contagious illness, or some sexual deviations of his. In these cases, according to the damage REJECTION rule, one should sentence to wife’s right in particular disobedience. Although amendment of current regulations, and especially to mention explicitly some prominent instances, is necessary.

Abstract:

The aim of this study was the investigation of the relationship between mother acceptance-REJECTION and identity styles in female students of Shahid Chamran University. The sample of the study included 171 female students who were selected through multi-stage cluster random sampling. Adult Acceptance-REJECTION Questionnaire (Mother form) and Identity Style Inventory were used to collect the data. Canonical correlation analysis was used to analyze the data. Structural coefficients showed that the pattern of low scores in mother’s acceptance and high scores in mother’s REJECTION correlated with the pattern of low scores in normative and informational identity styles. Therefore, the findings of this research indicated that the combination of mother’s acceptance and REJECTION can promote informational and normative identity styles in female university students.

Abstract:

Background: There are few reports in the scientific literature on the factors taken into account by editors in deciding to accept or reject a scientific paper. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of different factors on the journal editors’ decisions on whether to accept or reject the manuscripts submitted to their journals. Methods: We randomly selected the participants from the authors of original articles and case reports published in six medical journals, and sent them a questionnaire by e-mail. We analyzed the scores they gave to each of the 17 items of the questionnaire. Results: One hundred and nineteen of the authors responded to our survey. The scores given by the respondents were analyzed comparing authors of developing and developed countries. Also, the results from authors of high- impact journals were compared with those with a lowimpact factor. Multidimensional scaling was used to categorize the items based on their average scores. Highest scores were given to items addressing the quality of study performance, those addressing manuscript writing, and to the role of statistical significance of the results in the probability of studies getting published. Conclusion: Authors still believe in the existence of publication bias. They estimate its role to be comparable with the role of the quality of study performance and reporting. Our study alsoproves the presence of developing country bias, from the authors’ perspective.
