Abstract:

In this study, a new sign for clinical diagnosis of acute appendicitis is introduced. The study was performed on a sample of 250 cases simply selected from the patients with acute appendicitis admitted to Al-Zahra Hospital of Isfahan. Before operation, the patients were evaluated for this sign in order to. assess its predictive value in diagnosis of acute appendicitis. Following the intervention, the appendix was sent to the department of pathology to confirm the diagnosis. Abdominal examinations prior to operation included checking the superficial and deep tenderness, rebound tenderness, Rovsing and the new sign. To check the new sign, while the patient was lying in a supine position, then the physician places his left hand below the right costovertebral angle and inflicts a few short thrusts on the flank. In case, the patient feels pain in front of the lower abdomen, and with his/her hand locates the pain, it will be considered as a positive sign. Then predictive value, sensitivity and specificity of the new sign in diagnosing acute appendicitis were assessed. For comparison of the qualitative variables chi-test and for the quantitative variables Hest were employed. The results showed that sensitivity of the new sign is 67%, its specificity is 35%, its negative predictive value is 32% and its positive predictive value is 72%. This new sign here after named (Behdad SIGN) can, along with other signs, helps to diagnose acute appendicitis.

These transformations, which pioneered the Safavids into the modern era, gradually surfaced when Safavid dynasty rose to power with King Esmaeil I in 907 Hejri. Researching the Safavid era requires that cultural and artistic issues of the period be paid ample attention. That is because the royalty of this dynasty has held the art and artists significant and most kings and princesses of the period are considered either artists or patrons of the art. The courts in Harat, Mashad, Shiraz, Ghazvin, Tabriz and Isfahan were the active artistic circles and each core political conditions heralded the artistic production of precious value in various fields. The court and the royal library in the significant town of Mashad was ruled by an artistic princess, Abolfath Soltan Ibrahim Mirza, who succeeded to make the town a well-known artistic center for about two decades. Abstract:

Ebrahim Monsefi was one of the most prolific and well - known poets in southern Iran. He was a pioneer in contemporary Persian poetry in Hormozgan province, and many poets have been influenced by his style of writing ever since. Thus, exploring his works help us not only have a deeper understanding of his own poems, but also discover and recreate the poetic themes of a number of other poets in this region. Monsefi’s poems were influenced by cultural and ritual elements of his hometown. In addition to covering themes from Iran’s new poetry, the poems addressed public culture, which is a clear indication of his adherence to native culture and identity of people of Hormozgan. Monsefi’s underlying intellectual themes, which were affected by rough nature and hot climate of southern Iran, focus on loneliness, seclusion, love, and despair. His poems, written in a simple and fluent language, show internal grief, poverty, love to human, and tolerance of pain in dreadful life conditions. The aim of the current research was to shed more light on this topic. The research method used in this study was analytical-descriptive and interpretive. The obtained results show that Monsefi’s poetic themes reflect his spiritual moods, sympathy, socio-human critical thinking, and sweet and bitter sensual passions of the past and present. They are also an indication of his geographical and social environment, which was a popular poetic style of that time.

Abstract:

The impact of critical committed literature on the contemporary political and social expanse especially after revolution is undeniable and in this effect, the role of satire as a form of literary criticism is highlighted and "parody" as a comedian techniques in this field, has an outstanding performance. This study answers the question of whether "parody" is Ebrahim Nabavi's comic stylistic feature? The most prominent characteristic of Nabavy’s humor- one of the figure in critical literature after the revolution - is the use of parody in a variety of verbal, visual and thematic aims. He used this technique to express his social and political criticism and to express his thoughts to the reader. Research results show that Nabavi relies on forms and templates rather than a book of a special writer or poet and that makes his work turn in to a second handed work. His extreme usage of this technique despite his simple language, his mighty pen and good ability to express humor make his work monotonous and sometimes degraded it to the level of humor. Another point worth pondering is that specific issues he paid attention as well as his stylistic way of writing he sealed on the forehead of his works inevitably caused them to be forgotten.

Abstract:

Attending to the problem of humanity is one of the responsibilities that has been considered in the literary works of different nations and various scholars have paid their attention to it. Even though the defense of human rights does not have a long history, the world literatures have not forgotten this issue. The socio-political challenges in Palestine have attracted the attention of a number of writers and poets, especially to the subject of Palestinian rights. This problem of Palestinian is followed more rigorously in the works of writers and poets.Ebrahim Toukan (1905-1941) was one of the prominent figures ill this field of literature. whose work was later known as "resistance literature" He used his talent to introduce and analyze the problems of his countrymen and tried to encourage them to resist. He also tried very hard to found the "technical-topical" of resistance poetry and made some innovations which make him merited to be called the founder of "technical-topical" resistance poetry of Palestine. This study attempts to describe the "technical-topical" resistance poetry of Palestine using different reasons and documents.

Abstract:

Aims: Vitamin D is a fat-soluble steroid hormone that helps maintain healthy bones by absorbing calcium and phosphorus. This study aimed to determine the serum level of vitamin D among police staff and use the evaluated results to decide on the staff health and the effectiveness of organizational control and prevention programs. Materials & Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed for 12 months from the start of the year 1399 in Tehran in the population of police staff referred to Medical Centers of police. With ethical and scientific issues being considered, blood samples were taken, and serum levels of vitamin D were measured using immunological kits by the ELISA method. Vitamin values less than 10 ng/ml were considered a severe deficiency, 11-30 were insufficient, and more than 30 were sufficient. Data were analyzed by the SPSS software. Findings: From a total of 442 participants, 80% had severe deficiency or insufficient vitamin D levels (18. 9% and 61. 1%, respectively), and only 20% had adequate vitamin D levels. The largest deficit was observed among the 21-to 30-year-old age group. A significant difference was seen between age groups (P=0. 001). In comparing different job types, administrative job positions had the highest frequency of severe deficiency and insufficient amounts of vitamin D, and the operational job positions had the lowest frequency. This difference was statistically significant (P =0. 02). Conclusion: The results show that the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency is high among police officers in Tehran (80%), which requires better planning, and appropriate and effective decision-making by the organization's health managers to improve employees’ health.
