Abstract: 

TODAY, MOST ORGANIZATIONS ARE LOOKING TO SELECT AND IMPLEMENT APPROPRIATE STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES AND ULTIMATELY CREATE VALUE FOR ALL STAKEHOLDERS TO ESTABLISH STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE ARE OF STRATEGIC KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IS INEVITABLE. THE AIM OF THIS STUDY IS STRATEGIC KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE CRITERIA SO THAT THE BACKGROUND TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN CAPITAL, PROVIDE SOCIAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL EXCELLENCE.IN THIS STUDY, IN ADDITION TO THE LITERATURE OF FUZZY DELPHI TECHNIQUE FOR REFINING AND CHOOSE A STRATEGIC KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE CRITERIA HAVE BEEN USED,THE SURVEY WAS CONDUCTED IN FOUR STAGES AND RESULTS OF EACH STAGE USING THE FORMULA OF CHENG AND LIN MODEL HAS BEEN REFINED. THE STUDY POPULATION COMPRISED 30 EXPERTS.THE ANALYSIS OF THE FIRST 47 CRITERIA, WERE SELECTED BASED ON BUSINESS EXCELLENCE MODELS,AFTER REFINING EXPERTS, AND APPROVED 13 CRITERIA IN THREE CATEGORIES: STRATEGIES, PROCESSES, AND OUTCOMES WERE ANALYZED AND THEREBY HELP CLARIFY THE CRITERIA EXTRACTED PATH OF EXCELLENCE STRATEGIC KNOWLEDGE FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND THEY CAN APPLY IMMEDIATELY TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE IN THE ORGANIZATION.

Abstract: 

Many organizations, regardless of the size and amount of business the importance of social capital as a source of competitive and sustainable basis for innovation and EXCELLENCE and versatility they have confessed. The subject of this article explains the model design and social capital in order to achieve EXCELLENCE is the Tehran municipality. For the next two independent variables, including internal and external trust, norms, religious values, networks and partnerships law is not for the dependent variable is considered later. This type of research has been applied and the geographic territory of 22 districts of Tehran municipality-level organizational experts, heads of departments, deputies and regional managers have been. Descriptive research method that is correlated to stratified random sampling with 342 samples have been conducted. Also, correlation analysis, regression analysis, structural equation modeling and Friedman test for data analysis has been used. The results of this study showed that the Tehran Municipality between social capital and organizational EXCELLENCE and significant positive relationship exists. Clearer words, increasing social capital and promote EXCELLENCE and eminent organization improved.

Abstract: 

The main purpose of this paper is to explain the gap in theory, research and practice in the school management EXCELLENCE program, relying on the historical course of the school effectiveness movement since the 1960s until now. To achieve this goal, documentary research method was used. A review of historical events focusing on the school effectiveness movement suggests a quantitative and qualitative development of systematic activities to reduce the gap between theory, research, and practice. Effectiveness, EXCELLENCE and improvement are the climax of these systematic studies throughout the history of educational reform. The main achievement of these studies is the creation of the school effectiveness knowledge, which, with evolutionary process, provided a clear picture of the effective school's image in convergence with EXCELLENCE and improvement. Convergence and co-operation of experts, educational researchers and executives, as well as emphasis on the implementation of programs based on field-based research evidence is one of the most important implications of effective school studies. However, the adaptation of these achievements with the experience of educational reforms in Iran, especially the school management EXCELLENCE program, suggests that there is no inconsistency between the observations made with the characteristics and considerations of the movement of effectiveness and the lack of effective and dynamic communication between the educational researchers, educators and policy-makers.

Abstract: 

Dear Editor Academic development has been a major topic of discussion in higher education in the United States since the 1960s (1). According to a comprehensive study of 190 higher education institutions from 1965 to 1985, faculty evaluation of faculty was considered one of the most common vitality strategies (2). The most frequent finding of this study was that faculty vitality programs followed by effective connection and continuity of faculty development with the mission and policies of the institution as a key issue. The role of faculty competence and the quality of teaching in training effective graduates is well-known. The European Union high level group on modernization of higher education has identified the Assessment of teaching competence as a foundation for appointment and progression (3). Assessing the performance and EXCELLENCE of faculty members, who are the core of university human resources, is a challenging issue. There are various criteria for this evaluation, which generally focus more on research performance, while the main objective of hiring faculty members has been the development of education. The common structure of academic scoring, rewarding research More than teaching (4). The question now arises: "Can faculty members' research be related to student learning and improving the quality of education?" For example, would the teaching effectiveness of a faculty member with 20 articles be twice as effective as that of another with 10 articles? Different variables affect this issue, for example learner surveys (older studies) (5), learning outcomes (newer studies) (6), the type and number of universities studied (research-oriented or teaching-oriented), the presence of top researchers, other capabilities of the faculty member, and the existence of standardized data for learning outcomes at different levels of higher education. In summary, if education in research-based universities lacks the necessary status and credibility, the relationship between research output and education quality will not be positive. Moreover, the cultural climate of the university affects the EXCELLENCE of education. Medical education has undergone significant changes in recent years owing to advances in medical knowledge, changes in healthcare delivery systems, patients' needs and expectations, and the emergence of new learning technologies, which have consequently transformed the role of medical educators (7). Therefore, a scientific approach is needed to evaluate educational performance, as outlined by Harden (8). Education, or the art of teaching, is a complex combination of knowledge and art that must be purposefully defined in terms of its acquisition and criteria for EXCELLENCE (9). According to the model presented by Harden, educational EXCELLENCE is equal to the product of three components: 1) technical skills, 2) approach to teaching , and 3) professional competence. EXCELLENCE Score = Technical Skills × approach to teaching × Professional Competence The multiplication method was chosen because the presence of competence in all three areas is mandatory, meaning that the absence of competence in one area makes the result equale to zero. Technical skills include information provider, role model facilitator, evaluating, curriculum planning , educational resource developer; approach to teaching includes following scientific principles, professional attitude and ethics, decision-making, and teamwork; professional competence (personal development) consists of skill development and scientific promotion, professionalism, self-audit, portfolio, commitment, and research (Figure 1). To score these criteria, a methodology is needed that clearly and quantifiably specifies the details of each component and the scoring (10, 11). For example, the score for each variable or educational activity can be calculated as follows: Score for each educational activity (G) = Number of activities completed in a semester (n) × Calculated quality factor of the educational activity (q) Finally, it should be noted that the professors' approach to education and their associated responsibilities should not be considered a daily task, but rather, on the path to a higher rank, the passion for education is also internalized, and the belief in its positive impact on students and its social benefits becomes evident. Of course, achieving EXCELLENCE in education, which has various dimensions, requires teamwork and convergence to accurately determine it and is closely related to university policies and strategies and allocated resources (12). The fundamental changes in medical education in recent years and the existence of a clear roadmap in the world's top universities necessitate a rapid review of the mission of the country's universities. This review should be carried out with a comprehensive view of academic resources and products, including skilled personnel and scientific products in conjunction with the industry, in order to provide the necessary conditions for the continued dynamism and survival of universities in the era of digital technologies.

Abstract: 

In the context of academic medical education, mentorship has been known to play an undeniable role in academic and personal development of junior mentees, as well as guiding them through their carrier, research, and education. Here in, we enumerated the qualities and characteristics of a good mentor, through introducing an exemplary mentor in neurosurgery: Professor Abbas Amirjamshidi. He had been an exemplary mentor with professional mentorship characteristics including altruistic and understanding, accessible and punctual, knowledgeable and experienced, able to assist mentees in defining and reaching goals, senior and well-respected in the field, sincerely dedicated to developing an important relationship with the mentee. Professor Amirjamshidi had been a role model as a mentor steering his mentees in changing their professional life by directing them in the right direction. To achieve this coveted goal, Professor Amirjamshidi would invest time and energy to ascertain that his mentees achieve the loftiest goals in their professional career. He has been present both at the national and international forums as an invited speaker, and has served as a member of the editorial boards of reputed journals. Besides, he has innumerable publications to his credit in peer-reviewed journals.

Abstract: 

The model of EXCELLENCE of the organization is the most extensive tool of self-evaluation in the world and is the basis for designing national awards in various countries, including Iran. Numerous studies have shown that the use of management evaluation models such as EXCELLENCE model has a positive effect on the performance of organizations. Since organizations must continuously evaluate their performance and formulate their future strategies based on these evaluations, among the many models designed to evaluate performance in this study, the indicators of the organizational EXCELLENCE evaluation model were used to measure and evaluate the performance of the organization. The EFQM model was introduced in 1991 as a business EXCELLENCE model that provided a framework for organizational judgment and self-evaluation and ultimately European quality reward, which was implemented in 1992. This model demonstrates the sustainability benefits that a superior organization must achieve. This model quickly attracted the attention of European companies and it was found that public sector organizations and small industries are also interested in using it
