Introduction &, Objective: The epidemic of COVID19 in Iran has wide-ranging effects. The impact of the disease on medical education led to the closure of universities and the restriction of treatment to emergency interventions. With the closure of university classes, online and distance education became more widespread. This study examines the quantity and quality and effectiveness of online training in the postgraduate course of plastic surgery. Materials &, Methods: The present study is a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study that was approved by the Medical Ethics Committee. In this study, the satisfaction of residents and professors of the Department of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery in terms of quantity and quality of virtual education classes was examined. For this purpose, a questionnaire and quantitative information about class time and participation rate based on available documents and class videos were used. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 22. The frequency of qualitative variables was measured as percentage and ratio and the frequency of quantitative variables was measured by calculating the mean and standard deviation. Results: The results of the study in ten domains include: the use of teaching aids in the virtual education process, the possibility of participants&, #039, access to educational resources, review of interaction and mutual participation, satisfaction with class time, access to the class for participants, evaluation methods and tests Virtual access to out-of-class teachers, satisfaction with the teaching method, satisfaction with the content presented in the class and general satisfaction with the virtual education course were evaluated and showed that in all cases virtual education with a statistically significant difference accepted by group members Is located. Conclusions: Given corona disease persists and similar diseases may occur in the future, and given that our study recommends the appropriateness of e-learning, it is better to have this method taught and used on a larger scale.

During coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) and the need to continue surgeries in the operating rooms, it is necessary to pay attention to protection of health care workers in daily practice. Aerosol-generating procedures like tracheal intubation and laparoscopic surgery is subject to challenge to find ways beyond the personnel protection equipment (PPE). In this letter we are introducing a concept that is full body light plastic cover with negative pressure for the tracheal intubation time until the end of laparoscopic surgery, that is light, portable, reusable and not cumbersome at all.

Background and purpose: Vitamin D deficiency is highly prevalent in Iran. Death toll due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) is high in this country. The purpose of the present investigation was to provide more information on the relationship between serum levels of vitamin D in confirmed cases of Covid-19 in north of Iran. Materials and methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was performed in Covid-19 patients (n=80) attending Sari Imam Khomeini Hospital, Iran 2020, who were confirmed for Covid-19 infection with CT-Scan or RT-PCR. Seventy healthy individuals were also examined as the control group. SPSS V19 was applied for data analysis. Results: In this study, 80 patients with Covid-19 (mean age: 57. 22 ± 17. 44 years old) and 70 healthy individuals (mean age: 48. 69 ± 12. 99 years) were studied. There were 38 and 35 males in these two groups, respectively. Serum Vitamin D levels were significantly lower in patients with Covid-19 than those in the control group (18. 72 ± 12. 53 vs. 30. 86 ± 15. 19 ng/ml, P< 0. 001). Conclusion: This study showed that serum levels of Vitamin D were lower in patients with Covid-19 than healthy individuals and frequency of Vitamin D deficiency was higher in these patients. Hence, further studies are needed to clarify the role of serum Vitamin D concentrations in patients with Covid-19 infection.
