Abstract:

Background and aims: The development of nanotechnology has resulted in the creation of new job opportunities and economic growth. But, the lack of sufficient information about the toxicity and occupational exposure to nanomaterials has created concerns. In this study a simple software package based on CONTROL Banding recommended by NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), for assessing the risk of occupational exposure to nanomaterials was designed and developed. Methods: In this experimental study, C # 2010 software was used to design the software package. First, the general principles of CONTROL Banding risk assessment method recommended by the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH) was analyzed carefully. Then, all primary and secondary factors with their relative importance (weight) and influence on the risk level were considered in the software. Finally, the developed package was used to assess the individual exposure to nanomaterials in several research laboratories. Results: The average (RL2) and acceptable (RL1) risk levels were obtained at work stations that manipulated multi-wall nanotubes (MWNT) and titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2) respectively. Conclusion: The package could be used as a simple, reliable, fast, and easy tool to assess the risk of occupational exposure to nanomaterials. It also will be able to provide appropriate solutions to improve working conditions for employees if CONTROL measures are needed.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Introduction: Most of the functional disorders in the foot are created by changes in the arch of the foot. The motion CONTROL shoes are designed to CONTROL the excessive rear foot motions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of long-term use of motion CONTROL shoe on the ground reaction force components in individuals with functional pronated feet during running. Methods: The present study was a semi-experimental and laboratory type. The statistical society of the present study includes runners with pronated feet in Ardabil city. The available sampling sample was used in the present study. 30 male runners with pronated feet were randomized into experimental and CONTROL groups. The Bertec Force plate was used to record ground reaction forces. CONTROL group used CONTROL shoes (Supernova CONTROL, Adidas) and experimental group used the motion CONTROL shoes (Supernovacushion, Adidas) during 5 months in their training sessions. Two-way ANOVA with a significance level of P>0. 05 was used for statistical analysis. . Results: The findings of the experimental group demonstrated significant increase in peak medio-lateral ground reaction force during push off phase (P=0. 022; d=0. 86) and the time to peak of vertical ground reaction force during heel contact phase (P = 0. 013; d=1. 05) in post-test compared with pre-test. Also, the vertical loading rate showed a significant reduction in post-test than that in the pre-test (P=0. 109; d=0. 43). Other ground reaction force components in three directions, their time to peak, center of presser and the free moment showed no significant difference during the post-test compared to the pre-test (P>0. 05). Conclusions: Because of reduction in loading rate after long term use of motion CONTROL shoe, it could be said that this shoe is beneficial in reduction of lower limb injury risk factors such as stress fracture.

Abstract:

As approximately 2500 trucks transport cargo to and from Imam Khomeini Port and it is very inefficient and time consuming to register their traffic information manually, it is necessary to use an automation system to monitor truck traffic and performance of port bottlenecks like bascules, interchange gates, warehouses, and quays. Therefore, after different field and documental studies, RFID was chosen from among different Auto – ID techniques like barcode, smart card, ANPR, GPS, etc. This article investigates the executive strategy for implementing this technique at Imam Khomeini port as pilot port to achieve the objectives of Port and Maritime Organizations.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Although rotary instruments have been used for cleaning and shaping procedures during root canal preparation; nevertheless, the most effective technique regarding the use of these instruments has not been determined yet. Therefore, this study was carried out to evaluate the distortion and fracture of Flexmaster and Profile files during root canal preparation. This process was carried out by Endo IT CONTROL instruments on human molar teeth.Materials and Methods: A total of 60 human molar teeth with 10°-30° curved roots were randomly divided in two groups. Flexmaster and Profile files were used in the first and second groups using crown-down technique. The instrumentation speed, time and torque were CONTROLled using Endo IT CONTROL according to manufacturer's instructions. The fracture and distortion of files were evaluated in both groups. Results: There was not any instrument fracture in the study, but 3 distortion cases were observed (2 in Profile group and 1 in Flexmaster one). The difference between distortions in two groups was not statistically significant. Likewise, no relationship was found between distortion and repeated use of instruments in the sample. Conclusion: There was not any difference regarding fracture between the two groups. However, distortion of files in Profile group was more than Flexmaster group when Endo IT CONTROL instrument was used.

Abstract:

Pitch CONTROL is one of the major aspects of wind turbine CONTROL, particularly over high wind speed and oscillations. General Electric (GE) model of wind turbine is practically compatible with the structure of the wind turbines. It ha s bee n pr ove d t h at simulation results using this model are closer to the actual case, compared to other available models. Therefore, in this paper the GE model is used to evaluate the effectiveness of three different CONTROLlers including Fuzzy CONTROLler, self-organized Fuzzy CONTROLler (SOFC) and PI CONTROLler in pitch CONTROL of the wind turbine. Afterward, the results of the CONTROLler applications as well as the no CONTROLler case in t h e pitch CONTROL are compared. The results show a better performance of SOFC in damping the oscillations and overshoot of the wind turbine shaft speed. Finally, electrical power limit and converter cost, the economic analysis of pitch CONTROLler application are carriedout. It is shown that the application of the SOFC results are around $142, 646 saving.

Abstract:

Quadrotor CONTROL has been noted for its trouble as the consequence of the high maneuverability, system nonlinearity and strongly coupled multivariable. This paper deals with the simulation depend on proposed CONTROLler of a quadrotor that can overcome this trouble. The mathematical model of quadrotor is determined using a Newton-Euler formulation. Fractional Order Proportional Integral Derivative (FOPID) CONTROLler tuned by genetic algorithm (GA) is investigated to CONTROL and stabilization the position and attitude of quadrotor using feedback linearization. This CONTROLler is used as a reference to compare its results with Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) CONTROLler tuned by GA. The CONTROL structure performance is evaluated through the response and minimizing the error of the position and attitude. Simulation results, demonstrates that position and attitude CONTROL using FOPID has fast response, better steady state error and RMS error than PID. By simulation the two CONTROLlers are tested under the same conditions using SIMULINK under MATLAB2015a.

Abstract:

In this research, a proper Duty Cycle CONTROL method in Direct Torque CONTROL (DTC) of six-phase induction machine in open phase mode is proposed. In conventional switching table DTC of six-phase induction machine, the torque and flux ripples are high and large harmonics by order (6𝑘 ± 1) are produced. To overcome to this disadvantages a CONTROL method based on duty cycle CONTROL is used which produce less torque and flux ripples and harmonics losses. In this research, instead of using the common way to obtain new switching table in open phase mode, a new switching table is presented that can be combined to duty cycle method to achieve better results in open phase mode. In this method a simple and useful CONTROL method to calculate the duty cycle of each vector which is independent from machine parameters is used. Without considering the open phase fault, this technique has these advantages: less torque and flux ripples, independent from the load and speed changes, less current harmonics and almost sinusoidal shape, and zero power loss in (𝑧 1− 𝑧 2) subspace. In addition, in open phase mode the results are acceptable and the machine continues to operate without speed drops. The simulation results presented in this paper show the preference of the proposed methods.

Abstract:

In this paper, a hybrid of Neural Network (NN) and Fast Traversal Filter (FTF) based CONTROLler in each area is used to determine the optimal parameters of Load Frequency CONTROL (LFC) of a realistic two area power system. The two area power system is modeled considering the various non -linearities like governor dead band, generation rate constraint (GRC) and boiler dynamics. Input to the CONTROLler i.e. the error signal is divided into two parts- linear and non- linear. The linear part of the input signal is minimized by the FTF algorithm, whereas the non- linear part is minimized by the NN algorithm. The output of the CONTROLler is the sum of the outputs of NN and FTF networks. The proposed hybrid CONTROLler requires less number of samples for training of weights, thus making the system fast. This is highly desirable in power quality problems. The various components of power system are reduced to transfer functions and the system performance is analyzed for 1% step load perturbation in area1 with different CONTROL lersproportional and integral (PI), neural network (NN) and NN+FTF based CONTROLlers. The simulations demonstrate the fast and smooth performance of the power system with the proposed CONTROLler. Simulated results evince the superiority of the proposed hybrid CONTROLler.
