Abstract:

With change technology and globalization process, financial bazaars has accost with competitive pressure for improve performance. A way to address such circumstance is through privatization. Therefore, present study tries to evaluate and compare the financial performance of public and private commercial banks between 2006 through 2009 by using the constituents of CAMEL model. Statistical sample includes 4 public and 4 private commercial banks selected by random sampling method. Needed data are gathered by referring to financial statements among selected banks. Based on Kolomogrov – Smirnov test results, it was recognized that sample distribution is normal. To analyze research hypotheses, T test was used. The results of statistical tests indicates better performance of private banks in terms of liquidity and earnings while in terms of management quality, the performance of public banks is better than private ones. No significant difference was observed in terms of other variables. Likewise, the results of research major hypothesis show no significant difference between public and private banks. Although the total averages show better performance of private banks compared to public ones, it is not a significant difference. Therefore, private banks should attempt to improve their performance.

Abstract:

Banks collect funds from sectors with a liquidity surplus and direct them to sectors that suffer from a lack of liquidity. Terefore, monitoring, evaluating and comparing their performance due to the effect these institutions have on the country's economic growth and development. It is very important. The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of private banks accepted in Tehran Stock Exchange based on the CAMEL model. Accordingly, the data of the four commercial banks of Export, Post Bank, Commerce and Nation during 2007-2016 are used. The results of the research show that there was no significant difference between capital adequacy and asset quality indices in both pre and post privatization periods. On the other hand, there was a significant difference between the indicators of management quality, profitability indicators and liquidity indices in both pre and post privatization periods.

Abstract:

Banks considering the nature of their activities, are subjected to various risks and risk management is one of the essential activities in managing these institutions. Weak profitability, low capital adequacy, low liquidity, and low asset quality will increase the fragility of the banking system. One of the significant sources of risk is the existence of risk-bearing portfolios and toxic assets in the banking system, which in turn has negative consequences for banks' fiscal balances. In this research, it has been attempted through the analysis of their financial statements and combining the CAMEL and Dupont models, the risk management situation in the Iran Stock Exchange's banks is investigated and its relationship with bank's asset management is examined to determine whether the risk management situation in Iran is affecting the quality of assets in the bank. The findings of the research show that there is a direct significant relationship between the net interest margin and capital adequacy with asset quality, while the cash to short-term deposit ratio has a reverse relationship with asset quality.

Abstract:

During the last two decades, CAMEL has become very important species worldwide. It is considered as a source of functional food and a factory to produce pharmaceutical products for human being. CAMEL population increased during the last 14 years by 10 million (26, 944, 669 heads, FAO, 2012). Unfortunately, CAMEL population in Iran remained constant during the last 2 decades (150, 000 heads) ! UAE is the only country in the world that makes strong move toward industrialization of CAMEL milk and received the import permit for the milk to Europe. Although Africa has the greatest CAMEL population (80%), its role in producing science in this species is very limited. In contrast, America and Europe with nearly no CAMEL population, have great impact on producing science in CAMEL proteins! During the last 2 decades, 283 articles on CAMEL proteins were indexed by ISI (web of science). The contribution of Asia, Europe, America and Africa in producing such articles was 44, 37, 14 and 5%, respectively. Among 202 articles published in CAMEL milk, 48 articles were on CAMEL milk proteins, 33 articles were on the effect of CAMEL milk on treating the diseases such as diabetes and allergies and 121 articles were on milk component analysis. Iran produced 18 articles in this topic. All articles published regarding proteins in CAMEL blood (81 articles) were on immunoglobulins and nano-bodies. Iran produced 8 articles in this subject. With long term programs to study about CAMEL proteins, we are able to produce more scientific articles and wealth for our country.

Abstract:

Background and objective: The objective of this study was to produce functional low-fat CAMEL milk ice creams enriched with native CAMEL milk casein or its antioxidant hydrolysates produced by chymotrypsin. Material and methods: Native or hydrolyzed CAMEL milk caseins (0, 2 and 4%) were added to CAMEL milk low-fat ice creams. Hydrolysates were characterized for molecular weights and antioxidant activities. Physical (hardness, overrun and melting resistance) and sensorial attributes of the final products were assessed. Results and conclusion: Results showed that the chymotrypsin-mediated hydrolysis significantly (P<0. 05) increased 2, 2′-azinobis (3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) radical scavenging activity of the native CAMEL milk casein. Apparent viscosity and consistency coefficient of the ice creams were increased by addition of proteins and hydrolysates due to their water holding capacity. Protein/hydrolysates-fortified samples showed higher melting resistances but lower overruns and softer textures, compared to control ice creams with no added native or hydrolyzed CAMEL milk casein. Sensory analysis showed that only samples enriched with 2% of casein hydrolysate included sensory properties similar to those of control CAMEL milk low-fat ice creams and other samples received lower sensory scores. Generally, this study has suggested that CAMEL milk can be used to produce low-fat ice creams. Properties of these ice creams can be modified by adding various concentrations of native and hydrolyzed CAMEL milk caseins.

Abstract:

CAMEL MILK IS RICH IN NUMEROUS BIOACTIVE SUBSTANCES THAT FUNCTION BEYOND THEIR NUTRITIVE VALUE. CAMEL MILK IS MORE SIMILAR TO GOAT MILK AND CONTAINS LESS SHORT-CHAIN FATTY ACIDS THAN COW, SHEEP AND BUFFALO MILKS, AND ABOUT 3 QMES GREATER VITAMIN-C THAN COW MILK. ONE KG OF CAMEL MILK MEETS 100% OF DAILY HUMAN REQUIREMENTS FOR CALCIUM AND PHOSPHORUS, 57.6% FOR POTASSIUM, 40% FOR IRON, COPPER, ZINC AND MAGNESIUM, AND 24% FOR SODIUM. CAMEL MILK HELPS TREAT LIVER PROBLEMS, LOWERS BILIRUBIN OUTPUT, LIGHTENS VITAMIN INADEQUACY AND NUTRIENT DEFICIENCY, AND BOOSTS IMMUNITY. CAMEL MILK REDUCES ALLERGIES CAUSED BY COW DAIRY PRODUCTS. CAMEL MILK HAS LOW MILK FAT MADE MAINLY FROM POLYUNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS. IT LACKS B-LACTOGLOBULIN AND IS RICH IN IMMUNOGLOBULINS, COMPATIBLE WITH HUMAN MILK. PERSISTENT SYSTEMATIC EDUCATION OF CAMEL MILK SCIENCE WILL BE AN OBLIGATION FOR HEALTH IMPLICATIONS TO BE OPTIMALLY PERCEIVED BY WORLDWIDE HUMAN POPULATIONS.
