Abstract:

Background and Objectives: Nowadays, using ready to use and fast foods like sausage and hamburger is very delicious. These foods are provided in many ways, but one of them that is used in IRAN and some other developing countries, is by using a material that is named MDM (Mechanically Deboned Meat). As skeleton and residues are prepared from many unhygienic places, it may be contaminated with many agents like Salmonella spp., E.coli, Staph.aureus, Molds &Yeasts. In this research, we want to detect the microbial agent that had been forbidden to be in these products, because most consumption of these products is with childes and teenagers. Material and methods: This research was performed on 100 samples, have been sent from veterinary organization. These samples were sent us, in 10Kg frozen packing. And were studied in microbial lab for determination above agents. Results: The results showed that, the contamination of the samples were as follow: 53% Salmonella spp., 59% E.coli, 68% Staph. aureus, 21% Molds and 62%Yeasts. Serotyping of the contaminated samples with Salmonella spp. was as below: 13% S.gallinarum, 10% S.typhimorium, 9% S.enteritidis, 8% S.paratyphi A, 8% S.paratyphi C and 5% S.paratyphi B. Conclusion: Therefore, it most notify that, the microbial contamination of this product is very high, that is show the violation in the process of production of this material. Because the presence of bacterial strains like, Salmonella spp. and E.coli had forbidden. So the consumption of this material for producing sausage and hamburger, which is used with most of people, must be forbidden.

Abstract:

Purpose: Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) affect many women worldwide. The prevalence of LUTS among Iranian women has not been reported. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the prevalence of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms and its BOTHER rate among women ≥ 20 years old living in Isfahan, a central province of Iran. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study. The data was collected using a population-based survey on women aged ≥ 20 years selected from the general population of Isfahan (a central province of Iran. A total of 2609 women were approached for the study. After obtaining demographic features, the participants completed the Persian version of the International Consultation on Incontinence Modular Questionnaire for Female Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (ICIQ-FLUTS). Results: 95. 5% of the participants had at least one Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms. The most common symptoms were urgency (82. 4%) and stress urinary incontinence (44. 5%). Nocturia (one or more occasions) was also noted in 60. 7%. The highest BOTHER rate was related to urgency. Conclusion: The prevalence of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms was high in the studied women. Among Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms, urgency and nocturnal enuresis were the most and the least frequent symptoms. However, the BOTHER rate of the symptoms was relatively low.

Abstract:

Purpose: Nocturia is the main cause of disturbance of sleep maintenance and negatively impacts quality of life (QoL). We assessed the effects of the α 1-adrenoceptor antagonist, tamsulosin, on nocturia and quality of sleep, for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in women with a maximal flow rate (Qmax) less than 15 mL/sec. Materials and Methods: From January 2008 to December 2009, women with LUTS [Qmax ≤ 15 mL/s, International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) ≥ 8] and nocturia (void/night ≥ 1) were selected for this study. Two hundred ninety six patients completed voiding diary, a questionnaire on the Medical Outcomes Study (MOS) sleep scale and underwent follow-up evaluation after 4 weeks of treatment (tamsulosin, 0. 2 mg, once daily). Effectiveness was assessed by analysis of the IPSS, the BOTHER score, the Qmax, and postvoid residual urine (PVR). Results: The mean number of voids per night was 2. 66 ± 1. 3, and the total IPSS and BOTHER scores were 15. 2 ± 8. 9 and 3. 4 ± 1. 2, respectively. Clinical parameters, including the IPSS, the BOTHER score, the Qmax and the PVR, improved significantly from baseline after treatment (P <. 05). The change in nocturia was-1. 12 (P <. 05). Concerning sleep quality, the sleep problem index showed a significant decrease. Among the items on the sleep subscale, sleep disturbance, somnolence, and sleep adequacy were significantly changed (P <. 05). Conclusion: The α 1-adrenoceptor antagonist tamsulosin significantly improved nocturia and sleep quality as well as LUTS in women with low Qmax.

Abstract:

A 27-year-old man presented with obstructive voiding symptoms for eight years. His American Urological Association (AUA) symptom score was 25 with BOTHER score of 4. Physical examination was unremarkable. He had normal urinalysis, and urine culture was sterile. He had a peak urine flow rate of 10 mL/s in a voided volume of 174 mL. Bladder ultrasound showed a 1. 4 × 1. 2 cm cystic mass at the bladder neck (Figure 1) and an intravenous urography revealed bilateral hydroureteronephrosis...

Abstract:

Most biographies, essays and books on Ferdowsi have introduced him as a Mo'tazeli. This claim is based on Nesami-e Aroozi's statement, and more often by using the following Ferdowsi's line in Shahname: "you can't see The Creator with your eyes, don't BOTHER them".The present article intends to challenge this claim. The paper based on Formosa's words will show that Ferdowsi was not Mo'tazili, rather he was a Sunni, inclined to Asha'era and matoridyyh. Furthermore this article demonstrates that Ro'yat (the vision) in the aforementioned verse indicates manners of cognition and it has no connection with the Ro'yat in Kalam.
