Abstract:

BINARY array pairs with optimal/ideal correlation values and their algebraic counterparts \difference set pairs" (DSPs) in abelian groups are studied. In addition to generalizing known 1-dimensional (SEQUENCEs) examples, we provide four new recursive constructions, unifying previously obtained ones. Any further advancements in the construction of BINARY SEQUENCEs/arrays with opti-mal/ideal correlation values (equivalently cyclic/abelian difference sets) would give rise to richer classes of DSPs (and hence BINARY perfect array pairs). Discrete signals arising from DSPs nd applications incryptography, CDMA systems, radar and wireless communications.

Abstract:

Introduction: Pierre Robin SEQUENCE (PRS), previously termed Pierre Robin syndrome, consists of three congenital abnormalities: micrognathia (small mandible), glossoptosis, and cleft palate. In Pierre Robin SEQUENCE, the events occur in SEQUENCE, with one defect leading to the next. PRS occurs with an incidence of 1 in 8500 to 25000. Affected newborns have varying degrees of airway obstruction, often in association with gastroesophageal reflux and feeding difficulties. Intervention is mostly aimed at restoring a patent airway.Case Reports: Airway management in the infant with Pierre Robin SEQUENCE can be very challenging because of difficulty with mask ventilation and intubation. Our patient was a 4-year old boy with Robin SEQUENCE scheduled for dental repair under general anesthesia. He had a history of palate repair 3 years ago. After inhalation induction with sevofluran, nitrous-oxide in oxygen‚ under spontaneous ventilation, initial laryngeal view with the conventional Macintosh laryngoscope revealed Cormack-Lehane grade IIӀ due to restricted mouth opening and micrognathia. Nasal intubation for two times under the spontaneous respiration were unsuccessful. We fiberoptically intubated the patient with uncuffed tracheal tube (ID 5 mm) while allowing him to breathe spontaneously. Extubation was done with the patient fully awake and with emergency airway equipment immediately available. Postoperatively, he was transferred to intensive care unit where he could be observed closely for delayed complications of airway obstruction. Conclusion: Managing the airway of patients with craniofacial abnormalities can potentially be difficult. Therefore we recommend even simple treatment procedures to be carried out by experienced anesthesiologists, with a variety of different airway devices available such as flexible fiberoptic‚ Storz video laryngoscope and Airtraq optical laryngoscope.

Abstract:

Background: Due to some problems of serological assays in diagnosis of patients infected with HIV-1 and HCV, the use of molecular assay has become widely accepted. However, molecular assays have a major drawback of high cost and dependency to expensive thermocycler instruments. Methods: This research described the development of a multiplex nucleic acid SEQUENCE-based amplification (NASBA) assay for the simultaneous or single detection of HIV-1 and HCV genomes in plasma samples. The sensitivity and specificity of this assay has been evaluated using several clinical samples.Findings: The results showed that the primers used in this assay did not have any interactions with each other or with other possible interfering agents. The analytical sensitivity of this assay for both HIV-1 and HCV was calculated as 1000 copies/ml. The clinical sensitivity and specificity of the assay were considered as 90% and 100%, respectively. Conclusion: The developed multiplex NASBA assay can be used for simultaneous or single detection of HIV-1 and HCV viruses with a suitable sensitivity and specificity. Due to easy application, multiplexity, and no need to thermocycler instruments, this assay can be used as a low cost method in laboratories with limited instruments.

Abstract:

This article shows that any type of BINARY data can be defined as a collection from codewords of variable length. This feature helps us to define an Injective and surjective function from the suggested codewords to the required codewords. Therefore, by replacing the new codewords, the BINARY data becomes another BINARY data regarding the intended goals. One of these goals is to reduce data size. It means that instead of the original codewords of each BINARY data, it replaced the Huffman codewords to reduce the data size. One of the features of this method is the result of positive compression for any type of BINARY data, that is, regardless of the size of the code table, the difference between the original data size and the data size after compression will be greater than or equal to zero. Another important and practical feature of this method is the use of symmetric codewords instead of the suggested codewords in order to create symmetry, reversibility and error resistance properties with two-way decoding.

Abstract:

Human basic Fibroblastic Growth Factor (hbFGF) is a valuable protein with a wide variety of clinical and research applications. Currently, recombinant production of this growth factor in conventional platforms of microbial and insect cells is accompanied by several problems causing high cost production that limited its applications. Rice cell suspension culture is an efficient, safe and low cost platform for recombinant protein production. In this study we prepared a suitable construct for high level expression of an optimized version of bFGF coding SEQUENCE under control of ramy3D gene expression SEQUENCEs in rice cell suspension culture. The codon usage and GC content of bFGF coding SEQUENCE was optimized for expression in rice and then synthesized. Following optimization, the Codon Adaptation Index and GC content were upgraded from 0. 76 to 0. 82 and from 52. 65% to 55. 45%, respectively. The ramy3D regulating SEQUENCEs were amplified from genomic DNA in two separate fragments and then cloned. The ramy3D regulating fragments were assembled in the BINARY vector pCAMBIA1304. Then the bFGF optimized CDS was inserted in the construct between signal peptide CDS and 3′ UTR. Ramy3D expression system has several advantages including high level expression of transgene, inducibility and simple protein purification through protein secretion into the medium.

Abstract:

The dominance graph of the BINARY words, which is denoted by (Γ _n ) ⃗ , is a directed graph whose vertex set is the set of all BINARY words of length n. Setting B_1 (w)={1≤ i≤ n┤ | w_i=1}, for every vertex 〖 w_1 w_2… w〗 _n, we join two vertices v and w by an arc if B_1 (w) is contained in B_1 (v). In this paper, we study some graphical parameters of this graph. For example, after computing the distance of every two vertices and the eccentricity of any vertex, it is proved that the diameter and the radius of the underlying graph of (Γ _n ) ⃗ equals 3 and 2, respectively. Also, it is proved that this graph has 〖 3〗 ^n-3(2^n-1) edges. Then we prove that both of the clique nmber and the chromatic number of the dominance graph of BINARY words of length n are n-1. Among other results, it is shown that the edge chromatic number and the maximum degree of vertices are equal to 2^(n-1)-2. Finally, by a combinatorial method, the independence number of this graph is determined, too.
