THE PRESENT EXPERIMENT WAS CONDUCTED TO EXAMINE GERMINATION BEHAVIOR OF CHONDRILA JUNCEA AT DIFFERENT TEMPERATURE AND LIGHT PERIOD UNDER CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. INCREASED KNOWLEDGE OF GERMINATION WOULD FACILITATE DEVELOPMENT OF AN OPTIMUM CONTROL PROGRAM. THE FOLLOWING STUDIES WERE CONDUCTED IN MOHAGHEGH ARDABILI UNIVERSITY WITH 4 REPLICATIONS ON 2009: 1- EFFECT OF DARKNESS AND DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES ON GERMINATION INCLUDING 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 AND 40 °C; 2- EFFECT OF LIGHT AND DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES ON GERMINATION INCLUDING 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 AND 40 °C; 3- EFFECT OF LIGHT PERIOD (16.8) AND DIFFERENT TEMPERATURE ON GERMINATION INCLUDING 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 AND 40 °C. RESULTS SHOWED NO DORMANCY OF SKELETONWEED WHEN SEEDS WERE DETACHMENT FROM MOTHER PLANT. GERMINATION IMPROVED BY LIGHT AND THE MOST GERMINATION WAS OBSERVED IN LIGHT PERIOD AND 20°C.
