Abstract

PSORIASIS IS A CHRONIC, INFLAMMATORY SKIN DISEASE WITH AN APPROXIMATE 2-3% PREVALENCE IN THE GENERAL POPULATION AND ANETIOLOGY BASES ON BOTH ENVIRONMENTAL AND GENETIC FACTORS. PSORIASIS IS A CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY SKIN DISEASE CHARACTERIZED BY EXCESSIVE CELLULAR REPLICATION. HIGH SERUM LIPID LEVELS AND APOLIPOPROTEINS HAS BEEN SUGGESTED IN THE PATHOGENESIS OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN PSORIATIC PATIENTS. OUR PURPOSE WAS TO EVALUATE THE PLASMA LIPIDS (TG & CH) AND LIPOPROTEINS (HDL, LDL & VLDL) AND APOLIPOPROTEINS (A1, B) AND LP (A) IN ORDER TO COMPARE THE LIPID PROFILE IN PSORIATIC PATIENTS WITH CONTROL GROUP IN KERMANSHAH. ...
