Abstract

 BACKGROUND: STRONGYLOIDES STERCORALIS IS A NEMATODE THAT CAUSES SEVERE INFECTIONS IN IMMUNOCOMPROMISED PATIENTS. STRONGYLOIDES STERCORALIS WIDELY DISTRIBUTED IN TROPICAL AND SUB-TROPICAL REGIONS. INFECTION USUALLY RESULTS IN ASYMPTOMATIC CHRONIC DISEASE OF THE GUT, WHICH CAN REMAIN UNDETECTED FOR DECADES. HOWEVER, IMMUNOCOMPROMISED PATIENTS MAY SERIOUS AND OFTEN FATAL HYPERINFECTION SYNDROME. CONSIDERING TO INCREASING OF IMMUNOCOMPROMISED PERSON, STRONGYLOIDIASIS COULD BE A HEALTH THREATENING PROBLEM. ...
