Abstract

 IN THIS ARTICLE, THE VARIOUS ELECTRODS USED TO PREPARE ENZYMATIC BIO FULE CELLS MODIFIED WITH MULTI WALLED CARBON NANOTUBE. BIOFUEL CELLS CAN GENERATE ELECTRICAL ENERGY BY OXIDATION OF A TARGETED FUEL AT THE ANODE AND REDUCTION OF OXIDANTS AT THE CATHODE IN COMPLEX MEDIA. THE COMBINATION OF CARBON NANOTUBES (CNT), ENZYMES AND REDOX MEDIATORS WAS WIDELY EXPLOITED TO DEVELOP BIOFUEL CELLS SINCE THE ELECTRONS INVOLVED IN THE BIO-ELECTROCATALYTIC PROCESSES CAN BE EFFICIENTLY TRANSFERRED FROM OR TO AN EXTERNAL CIRCUITS. FINALLY, WE PRESENT SEVERAL OF OUR OWN STUDIES FROM THE LAST NUMBER OF YEARS THAT CONCERN INVESTIGATIONS OF CHARGE RECOMBINATION REACTIONS IN BIO FULE CELLS EMPLOYING ENZYME AND NANOTUBES.
