Abstract

 ALTHOUGH SEVERAL RESEARCH PROGRAMS HAVE INVESTIGATED THE PERFORMANCE OF STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS MADE OF LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE, THERE IS A LIMITED UNDERSTANDING OF THE BEHAVIOR OF LIGHTWEIGHT SHEAR WALLS UNDER SEISMIC CONDITIONS. THE MOST RAMOUS SOFTWARE "ANSYS" IN THE THREE DIMENSIONAL FORM IS USED CONSIDERING THE CRACK IN CONCERT AND IT’S RELATIVE EFFECT ON THE STIFFNESS-MATRIX MODIFICATION.THE ELECTIVE STRUCTURAL MODELS ARE ANALYZED USING OBTAINED ANALYTICAL RESULTS IN THE FORM OF SEISMIC PARAMETERS SUCH AS REDUCTION FACTOR DUE TO DUCTILITY, (RM) OVER STRENGTH (RS), DUCTILITY FACTOR (M) AND DISPLACEMENT MODIFICATION FACTOR (CD) ARE DETERMINED.
