Abstract

 IN THIS STUDY, DROUGHT TOLERANCE OF 11 GENOTYPES OF SOYBEAN WAS EVALUATED BY USINGOF DROUGHT RESISTANCE INDICES. THE GENOTYPES WERE EVALUATED IN A RANDOMIZED COMPLETE BLOCK DESIGN WITH THREE REPLICATIONS UNDER TWO IRRIGATED AND RAIN-FED CONDITIONS IN RESEARCH FARM OF CAMPUS OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES, RAZI UNIVERSITY AT CROPPING SEASON 2011-2012. THE ANALYSIS OF VARIANCE (ANOVA) FOR YIELD IN BOTH SITES AND DROUGHT RESISTANCE INDICES WAS SHOWED SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES AMONG GENOTYPES FOR YS, MP, GMP, HAM AND STI. RESULTS OF MEAN COMPARISONS OF GENOTYPES FOR YIELD IN BOTH CONDITIONS WERE REVEALED GENOTYPE WILL*CHIPPEWA HAD MAXIMUM OF YIELD IN NORMAL AND STRESS CONDITIONS (RESPECTIVELY 3088 AND 2578 KG/HA). ALSO, THIS GENOTYPE HAD THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF HAM, GMP, MP AND STI, THUS WE INTRODUCED WILL*CHIPPEWA GENOTYPE AS A TOLERANT SOYBEAN GENOTYPE FOR KERMANSHAH.
