IN RECENT YEARS REPORTS OF THE RESURGENCE OF PERTUSSIS HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED IN MANY COUNTRIES WITH LONG HISTORIES OF VACCINATIONS AGAINST PERTUSSIS, INCLUDING EUROPEAN COUNTRIES AS WELL AS THE USA AND AUSTRALIA. AMONG REASONS FOR INCREASE IN INFECTED CASES CAN MENTION TO WANING IMMUNITY OVER THE YEARS, POLYMORPHISM OF B.
