Abstract

 EPIDEMIOLOGIC STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT THE INCIDENCE OF DENTAL TRAUMA RANGES FROM 25% TO-58% AND THE MOST COMMON AGE GROUP AFFECTED IS CHILDREN 8 TO 12 YEARS. THE TEETH MOST OFTEN TRAUMATIZED ARE THE MAXILLARY CENTRAL INCISOR AND THE FALLS ARE THE MAIN CAUSE OF DENTAL TRAUMA.THE SPORTS AND VIOLENCE ARE THE IMPORTANT CAUSES. THE INCIDENCE FOR BASKETBALL PLAYER IS FIVE TIMES HIGHER THAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS LUXATION INJURIES INVOLVE THE SUPPORTING STRUCTURE OF THE TEETH AND OFTEN AFFECT THE NEURAL AND VASCULAR SUPPLY TO THE PULP. THE MORE SEVER DEGREE OF DISPLACEMENT, THE GREATER DAMAGE TO THE PERIODONTIUM AND DENTAL PULP.PULP NECROSIS, ROOT RESORPTION AND PULP CALCIFICATION ARE THE FREQUENT OCCURRENCE OF LUXATION DENTAL INJURIES. IN THIS LECTURE NEW METHODS OF DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT PLANNING AND CLINICAL GUIDELINES OF LUXATION INJURIES TREATMENT WILL BE DISCUSSED...
