 INTRODUCTION: AMYLOID DEPOSITIONS OF PROTEINS PLAY CRUCIAL ROLES IN A WIDE VARIETY OF DEGENERATIVE DISORDERS CALLED AMYLOIDOSIS. COMPOUNDS CAPABLE OF INTERFERING WITH PROTEIN-PROTEIN INTERACTION THROUGH BINDING TO NUCLEATION SITES CAN INHIBIT AMYLOIDOGENESIS AND AMYLOID INDUCED CYTOTOXICITY. APIGENIN IS A COMMON DIETARY FLAVONOID WITH MULTIPLE PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES THAT WE HAVE PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED ITS ANTI-AMYLOIDOGENIC ABILITY. ...
