Abstract

BACKGROUND AND AIM: HUMANS ARE A NATURAL RESERVOIR FOR S. AUREUS, AND ASYMPTOMATIC COLONIZATION IS FAR MORE COMMON THAN INFECTION.SINUSITIS IS ONE OF THE MOST PREVALENT PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED IN GENERAL MEDICAL PRACTICES. AT THE SAME TIME, MOLECULAR METHODS ARE MUCH RELIABLE FOR DETECTION OF S. AUREUS. SO, IN THIS STUDY PCR AND LOOP MEDIATED ISOTHERMAL AMPLIFICATION (LAMP) WAS USED IN ORDER TO DIAGNOSE S. AUREUS SINUSITIS.METHODS: THE SPECIMENS (55) WERE PROVIDED FROM ENDOSCOPIC SINUS SURGERY (ESS) FROM HOSPITAL PATIENTS. GENOMIC BACTERIAL DNA WAS EXTRACTED BY DNG AND DNP-PLUS KIT AND WAS AMPLIFIED EMPLOYING SEQUENCE-SPECIFIC TARGET NAMELY THE NUCLEASE GENE.
