Abstract

 INTRODUCTION & AIM: FOLLOWING REPORTS OF SOME SEQUENTIAL CASES OF FALSE NEGATIVE OF BLOOD GROUP B WITH USING OF THE SAME LOT NO OF ANTISERUM (ANTI B) IN LABORATORIES OF TEHRAN AND SHIRAZ MEDICAL SIENCE UNIVERSITY, HEMATOLOGY LAB SUPERVISOR SUSPECTED TO ANTIB REAGENT. AFTER DILUTION OF ANTIB REAGENT WITH NORMAL SALINE, RESULTS ARE CORRECTED. IT WAS FOUND THAT TITRE OF AB HAS INCREASED IN BLOOD GROUP REAGENTS AND THE EXCESS OF AB (PROZONE) PHENOMENON OCCURRED IN TESTS AND AFFECTED IN TEST RESULTS.
