Abstract

 BACKGROUND: FOR MOST HUMAN ACTIVITIES THERE IS A TENDENCY TO USE ONE SIDE MORE THAN THE OTHER, WHICH IS INTRODUCED AS LATERAL PREFERENCE. THIS SIDE IS IN RELATION WITH DOMINANT HEMISPHERE OF THE BRAIN.GOAL: OUR AIM WAS DETERMINING THE LATERAL PREFERENCE IN MASTICATION, AND COMPARING IT WITH THE SIDE OF THE DOMINANT HAND, AS ANOTHER LATERALITY, IN ORDER TO DISCUSS THE ROLE OF THE DOMINANT HEMISPHERE. THE NOVELTY OF THIS INVESTIGATION IS THE COMPARISION OF RESULTS IN TWO TYPES OF FOOD TEXTURES. ...
