Abstract

INTRODUCTION: CARBON NANOTUBES (CNTS), HAVE RECEIVED GREAT INTEREST IN THEIR UNIQUE PROPERTIES AND WIDE SCOPE OF POSSIBLE APPLICATIONS. HOWEVER, A MAJOR BARRIER FOR CNTS UTILIZATION ESPECIALLY FOR MULTI-WALLED CARBON NANOTUBES (MWNTS) IS THEIR POOR SOLUBILITY AND DISPERSABILITY BOTH IN AQUEOUS AND ORGANIC MEDIA. THUS, A LOT OF EFFORTS HAVE BEEN DEVOTED OVER THE YEARS TO PREPARE STABLE DISPERSIONS OF SWNTS IN DIFFERENT SOLVENTS. HEREIN, INVESTIGATION OF THE DISPERSIVE EFFECTS ARE ACHIEVED BY SURFACE-ACTIVE AGENTS ON MWNTS.
