Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: ONE OF THE VALUABLE ACHIEVEMENTS IN NONLINEAR NONPERTUBATIVE OPTICS IS THE PRODUCTION OF ATTOSECOND LASER PULSES BY USING HIGH-ORDER HARMONIC GENERATION (HOHG) MEASURED IN 2001. THE THREE-STEP MODEL OR SIMPLE-MAN THEORY PROPOSED BY CORKUM [1] AND EXTENDED BY LOWENSTEIN DESCRIBES THE HOHG MECHANISM [2]. THIS MODEL CAN BE USED IN TUNNELLING REGIME WHICH PREDICTS MAXIMUM RECOLLISION ENERGY OF 3.17UP, WHERE UP IS PONDERMOTIVE ENERGY. IN THIS WORK WE WANT TO COMPARE THE HOHG OF SEMI-CLASSICAL MODEL USED IN THIS WORK WITH RECENTLY PUBLISHED PAPER WHICH HAS BEEN CONSIDERED BOTH THE ELECTRONS AND NUCLEI QUANTUM MECHANICALLY [3]. WE USE ATOMIC UNIT THROUGHOUT THE ARTICLE UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED.
