Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: IN THE RECENT YEARS, NUMEROUS INVESTIGATIONS HAVE BEEN FOCUSED ON THE SYNTHESIS, TREATMENT, CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF BORON NITRIDE NANOTUBE[1-2].BNNTS HAS MANY EXCELLENT PROPERTIES, SUCH AS RELATIVE CHEMICAL INERTNESS, LOW DENSITY, WIDE BAND GAP SEMICONDUCTORS, HIGH THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY, STABILITY AND MECHANICAL PERFORMANCES, ELECTRONIC PROPERTIES. RECENT RESEARCHES SHOW THAT THE PROPERTIES OF BNNTS ARE SIMILAR TO CARBON NANOTUBE AND ARE USED AS A STRONG CANDIDATE FOR GAS SENSING MATERIAL DUE TO THEIR INHERENT PROPERTIES LIKE SMALL SIZE DIAMETER, GOOD ELECTRICAL, HIGH SPECIFIC SURFACE AREA AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES [3-5]. IN THIS RESEARCH WE CONSIDER (4, 4), (5, 5) ARMCHAIR AND (6, 0), (8, 0) ZIGZAG MODELS OF BNNTS TO STUDY THE EFFECT OF GA DOPED ON NUCLEAR QUADRUPLE RESONANCE AND STRUCTURAL PARAMETERS.
