Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: ELECTROOXIDATION OF METHANOL IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE IN ELECTROCATALYSIS AND DIRECT METHANOL FUEL CELLS. THE ELECTRODE MATERIALS HAVE A CRITICAL ROLE IN ELECTROCATALYTIC PROCESS [1]. RESEARCH ON POROUS MATERIAL SUCH AS ZEOLITES HAS INCREASED CONSIDERABLY BECAUSE OF THEIR HIGH POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS IN THE FIELDS OF CATALYSIS [2]. TRANSITION METAL AND METAL COMPLEXES WITHIN THE SUPERCAGES OF ZEOLITES PROVIDES A NEW INSIGHT TO PREPARATION OF ZEOLITE-MODIFIED ELECTRODES FOR INVESTIGATING THEIR ELECTROCATALYTIC BEHAVIOR. IN THE PRESENT WORK WE PREPARED NANONAA ZEOLITE WITH THE USE OF SLAG AS SILICA SOURCE IN THE ABSENT OF TEMPLATES. THE ELECTROCHEMICAL BEHAVIOR OF NI/NAACPE CARBON PASTE ELECTRODE WAS INVESTIGATED IN ELECTROCHEMICAL OXIDATION OF METHANOL IN ALKALINE MEDIUM.
