Abstract

 INTRODUCTION: RECENTLY, MUCH ATTENTION HAS BEEN MADE TO ON ELECTROCATALYTIC OXIDATION OF VARIOUS COMBINATIONS LIKE METHANOL AND FORMALDEHYDE USING DIFFRENT THE MODIFIED ELECTRODES. BECAUSE IT IS GENERALLY RELATED TO THEIR HIGH ENERGY DENSITY AND THEIR POTENTIAL USE AS FUEL IN FUEL CELL SYSTEMS. THE USE OF ZEOLITES AS SUPPORTED ELECTRODES REPRESENTS ONEOF THE SOLUTIONS OVERCOME THE PROBLEM OF CATALYTIC OXIDATIONOF METHANOL [1]. ZEOLITES ARE CRYSTALLINE MICROPOROUS SOLIDS THATCONTAIN MANY CHANNELNETWORKS PROVING MOLECULAR-SIZEDCAGES AND PASSAGEWAYS FOR EXCELLENT STERIC CONTROL OF REACTION PATHS. FOR CATALYTIC PURPOSES, MODIFICATION OF ZEOLITES IS, THEREFORE, CARRIED OUT WITH SOME METALS [2].THIS WORK REPORTS A NOVEL METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING ANALCIME ZEOLITE, STUDIES OF THE ELECTROCHEMICAL BEHAVIOR OF NICKEL (II) INCORPORATED IN ZEOLITE-MODIFIED CARBON PASTE ELECTRODE ANDTHE APPLICATION OF THE MODIFIED ELECTRODE FOR THE ELECTROCHEMICALOXIDATION OF METHANOL IN 0.1 M NAOH SOLUTION.
