Abstract

 WE DEVELOPED A NOVEL NANOCOMPOSITE OF COPPER NANOPARTICLES DECORATED GRAPHENE SHEETS (GNS/CU NPS) PREPARED BY ELECTRODEPOSITION ON THE SURFACE OF GLASSY CARBON (GC) ELECTRODE IN IONIC LIQUID MEDIUM OF 1-BUTHYL-3-METHYLIMIDAZOLIUM HEXAFLUOROPHOSPHATE (IL). OUR ELECTROCHEMICAL EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS SHOW THAT THE PREPARED GC/GNS/CU NPS MODIFIED ELECTRODE POSSESSED AN EXCELLENT ELECTROCATALYTIC ABILITY TOWARD OXIDATION OF BOTH HYDRAZINE AND HYDROXYLAMINE ANALYTES WITH SUFFICIENTLY RESOLVED DIFFERENTIAL PULSE VOLTAMMETRIC (DPV) PEAKS WHEN SIMULTANEOUSLY DETECTING THESE ANALYTES. EASY PREPARATION, HIGH SENSITIVITY, WIDE LINEAR CONCENTRATION RANGE AND LOW DETECTION LIMIT, FAST RESPONSE TIME AND HIGH STABILITY ARE THE MAIN ADVANTAGEOUS FEATURES OF THE PROPOSED ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSING SYSTEM, WHICH MAY HOLD GREAT PROMISE FOR MANY OTHER ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSING PLATFORMS.
