Abstract

 THE AIM OF PRESENT WORK WAS SYNTHESIS OF CU2+MODIFIED HYDROXYAPATITE (HAP) NANOPARTICLES. IN SAKE OF FACILITATE THE REUSABILITY OF THE CATALYST, HAP HAS BEEN SYNTHESIZED WITH FE3O4 NANOPARTICLES WITH COPRECIPITATION METHOD. HAP/ FE3O4 NANOPARTICLES WERE CHARACTERIZED BY FOURIER TRANSFORM INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY (FT-IR), X-RAY PHOTOELECTRON SPECTROSCOPY (XRD) AND INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA (ICP) SPECTROMETRY. FOR INVESTIGATION OF MODIFIED CATALYST IN PRESENCE OF H2O2, ACID BLUE 25 (AB25), AN ORGANIC DYE, SELECTED. THE RESULTS SHOWED SIGNIFCANT DEGRADATION OF AB25 (97%) IN THIS SYSTEM, WHILE IN UNMODIFIED HAP DEGRADATION WAS SLIGHT. CYCLIC DECOLORIZATION STUDY REVEALED SIGNIFICIANT EFFICIENCY OF SYNTHESIZED CATALYST (MORE THAN 90% IN FIFTH FIRST RUNS).
