Abstract

 IN THIS STUDY EDIBLE VEGETABLES FROM BABASALMAN AND ESLAMSHAHR REGIONS WERE SAMPLED IN SUMMER 2010 FROM FARMS FOR WHICH WELL WATER WAS USED. THE SAMPLES WERE THEN PREPARED AND CONCENTRATION OF THE TRACE ELEMENTS WERE DETERMINED BY USING ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY IN IRANIAN ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY. ACCORDING TO THE ANALYSIS THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM CONCENTRATION OF ZN 1.13±0.006 PPM IN BASIL (LEAF) OF BABASALMAN AND 25.38±0.091 PPM IN BULBIL (ROOT) OF ESLAMSHAHR, FE 12.12±2.014 PPM IN RADISH (ROOT) OF BABASALMAN AND 229.25±16.016 PPM IN MINT (LEAF) OF ESLAMSHAHR, CU 0.20±0.001 PPM IN RADISH (STEM) OF BABASALMAN AND 2.11±0.002 IN MINT (LEAF) OF ESLAMSHAHR AND CO 0.18±0.001 PPM IN MINT (LEAF) OF BABASALMAN AND 0.94±0.002 IN BULBIL (ROOT) OF ESLAMSHAHR. AFTER ENTERING THESE METALS TO FOOD CHAIN, ARE ACCUMULATED IN HUMAN BODY AND THIS MATTER MAY CAUSE SOME DISEASE BY RECEIVING METALS MORE THAN PROVISIONAL TOLERABLE WEEKLY INTAKE (PTWI) OF HEAVY METAL, IN ADULTS WITH STANDARDS ENHIS BUT WE IDEA THEY WILL SURVEY HEAVY METALS EACH YEAR.
